Pappy's Pizza and working hard!

Grammy and Granpy came into town today to help out while Dad was away for the week doing bridge inspections.  We told Granpy we would take him out for father's day and he wanted to go to Pappy's pizza.  

The new play structure inside Pappy's was finally finished and we thought we would try it out.

This big slide looks like a lot of fun!

I am not sliding very fast down this big slide.

That was fun!

I had fun climbing up to the top.  This play structure is very tall especially since it is inside.

Look at this fun ropes course way at the top!

The best way to get down was the slide.  I think?

We had fun riding the little carousel. 

Ahhhhhh!  This horse is going so fast.

I don't think the horses went too fast.

We had a great time eating pizza and playing at Pappy's

That afternoon we got to work leveling out the gravel area so we can set up the pool area.

We were willing to work hard moving gravel to get the ground level, so, we can play in the pool.

Mom was quite impressed on how long and how much we actually helped.  When we asked if we could help she figured we would do a couple of shovel fulls and then quit, but we kept going!

We made sure that it was level and ready for the pool.  

While we were leveling the gravel, Dad took some photos of the creek near one of the bridges he was inspecting.  It looked like root beer was flowing down the river.  

We got the ground ready and are now working on getting the pool set up, so, we can fill it up and swim in it. 

We are getting close, but I don't think we will get it filled in time today to play in it.  I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!!!!  Nothing like playing in the playroom with my Dad on Father's day.

I love my dad because he is nice to me! -Makayla

My favorite thing to do with my Dad is to read books with him.

My favorite thing to do with my Dad is to do puzzles with him.  

After our photos with Dad for Father's day we took some together.

I found this piece of Styrofoam that made the perfect chair.  

Mom thought she would take some photos of me in my new chair.

I had fun popping the bubble wrap.

This is what we went and got Dad for Father's Day!  We needed a new one and the sale was a good one.  He put it together and then we grilled up some ribeye steaks on it for dinner which is one of his favorites.  The new barbecue cooked them up perfectly.

Today we headed down to the Cascade Lakes Scenic byway to check it out, play, and do a little fishing.

Of course mom wanted to get some pictures in of places a long our drive. 

This is Mt. Bachelor.

We dropped dad off on the Deschutes river and headed to find a place to play while he did a little fishing.  Check out this perfect tree root for hanging our toys.

We headed to Wickiup reservoir to see if we could find somewhere to play.

There was this perfect little beach not to far from the parking area at the Wickiup boat ramp.

We got right to playing.

The ground was kind of sandy kind of rocky, but we made it work.

Of course we wanted to get some water in our buckets.

How far can I go in Mom?

I thought I would try to shovel the water into my bucket.

The sun was out, the weather was nice, and this beach was the perfect little place to hang out and relax while Dad enjoyed some fishing.

Playing at the lake is always one of our favorite things to do.

I came over to visit with mom and she had to snap my picture!

I got my photo taken too when I headed over to hang out with mom!

It wouldn't be a day at the lake without getting my face a little dirty.

We had bubbles in our bucket of fun.  I had a great time blowing bubbles.

Good thing we have more than one bubble wand, so, we can blow bubbles at the same time.

Hanging out on the tree stump for a place to sit while I blew some bubbles.

We both found our way to the tree stump for some photos.

We switched places on the stump.  It was fun to climb around on.

We sure had fun exploring the Cascade Lakes scenic byway today and playing at Wickiup lake.  Hopefully next time the fishing will be a little better for Dad!
