100th day of school!

March 16, 2017
Today at school we had 100's day.  It was 100's day because we have been in school for 100 days!  Mom told me that I had been in school for 95 days, since, I missed 4 to go to Colorado and the other day I stayed home sick.  We had lot of fun doing things that dealt with the number one hundred.  In the afternoon when mom came in to help in my classroom we did stations.  One of the stations was making 100 gumballs in our gumball machine with the dot markers!
Earlier in the day Ms. Jinings took pictures of us that showed what we would look like when we turned 100 years old.  Pretty silly, but sure fun.
Then we wrote on the inside saying what we would want to do when we were 100.  I said, "I wanted to read books when I was 100."  Mom thought that would probably be a good thing to do if I live to 100.  She told me, "when she is 100 she wants to be in heaven".
Here is a little bit closer picture of me at 100.
I don't know when my 100th day of school is, but since I only go twice a week and I started in November I am sure I am no where close.
So mom got some pictures of me being silly in McKenzie's room.
Watch out for me.
A big smile for the camera.
I was pretty excited about 100's day and all the fun we got to have at school with it.  I really had fun coloring, making, and wearing my 100's hat.

Tag-a-long

March 11, 2017
Mom finally got the tag-a-long that she has had birthday money for since her last birthday.  We got it out of the big box, for her and Dad, to put it together and guess what we wanted to do with the boxes?
It worked out well because we had another big box from the sink that we got that Dad put in to replace the sink and the faucet that broke!  So much can be imagined with boxes!  We had fun drawing all over them to turn them into new things.
We needed a little lunch before we headed out for our bike ride.  You may have heard of olive fingers, but have you heard of pepper fingers.  It is the healthier alternative!  The creative ideas I have!  Those are the yummiest fingers I have ever eaten.
I decided to eat my quesadillas with my stylish Tinkerbell glasses.
We got the tag-a-long all hooked up to mom's bike and I got myself all decked out with my helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads.  I was able to get myself on and am ready to ride.
Okay Mom lets go!
I don't know who was more excited about the tag-a-long, mom or me.  I kept asking her when she was going to get it.  Then it ended up being pink. Which is fantastic in our world.  I had a great time riding around the neighborhood and even down in the canyon.  I jumped on just like I had been riding a bike for years.
I wanted to try out the tag-a-long also.  After Makayla got a turn, I got a turn.  Mom and I are ready to go!
Mom said, "that she could tell I was helping out more than Makayla."  I was even able to make the bike go by myself without mom pedaling.
It was fun to try out the tag-a-long.  For the most part I will be on my bike and Makayla will ride on the tag-a-long, but it will be fun to sneak in a ride here and there!
After our ride we went back to playing in the boxes!

 March 13, 2017
After school today we wanted to take the tag-a-long out again for another ride.  I think the look on my face shows you how much I love this new tag-a-long.  It is the greatest thing ever!
We got on and pedaled down to the canyon trail.  Mom got a couple of trips up and down the stairs getting her bike and the tag-a-long and then McKenzie's bike down.  It makes for a better work out when you have to go up and down the 100+ stairs multiple times!
I rode my bike today and I made it further down the path than I have ever made it before.  I also get to be the keeper of the waters!
I love to ride my bike and am excited about all the bike rides we will get to take now that it is Spring!

Scout's birthday

March 9, 2017
Today we are celebrating Scout's birthday.  It probably isn't his real birthday but it was around the time that mom and dad adopted him from the pound.  We would not want to miss celebrating a birthday even if it is a dogs.  For the birthday fun we got out some birthday hats.
Scout seemed a little miffed that he had to have a My Little Pony party hat.  "Don't you know that I am a boy.  What happened to the paw patrol party stuff?"  To bad for Scout that the only party hats we had were girl ones.
Well at lease he is looking up and able to hold his head up high or maybe he is just really wanting the bone that mom has in her hand.
Happy Birthday Scout!  We sure do love you, you crazy old mutt.
For Scout's birthday we had a pajama party.  I put on my monkey pajamas so I could be a monkey at the party.
One of Scout's favorite foods is popcorn, so, that is what we had for dinner.  He was pretty excited to get to eat popcorn for dinner.  It worked out well to have popcorn because dad was out of town for a training and that means mom didn't have to cook!
I sure enjoyed Scout's popcorn pajama party!
Here I am being a monkey!
We waited to do presents for Scout until Dad came home from the training.  After all we didn't want him to miss out on all the fun birthday celebration!
Mom and I picked out some presents for Scout the other day.  Mostly they were treats with a couple of toys thrown in.  Then we wrapped them up in some brown packaging paper that we were going to recycle.  Nothing but the best for our old buddy Scout.
I don't think that he cares that the paper isn't very pretty.  He is just happy to get to unwrap presents.  He sure does love to get presents.  We aren't sure who like to open presents the most Scout or us!
He would not even let us help him open his presents.  Can you believe that?
I really really wanted to help, but I refrained and let him do it all by himself.
Of course after he opened them he wanted to try all the different types.  We were more than happy to help him out with that!
Happy 10th birthday Scout!

King Cake

Today is Fat Tuesday and what do you do on Fat Tuesday to celebrate?  You make and decorate a King Cake.  I got to frost the part of the king cake.  Here is my frosting job.
I got to finish off frosting the king cake.  It was sure fun and messy frosting the cake.
After we finished frosting it then it was time to decorate it.  We each got a color to do.  Makayla chose purple, mom got yellow, and I chose green!  Check out the pattern we kept to!  This king cake sure looks yummy.  We can't wait to try it tonight!
The fun in the king cake is finding the Baby Jesus that we hid in the cake some where.  The last couple of years we have had the Zalesny's over and all participated in the king cake.  Last year Isaac found baby Jesus, so, this year they chose there pieces from a picture and then we marked them on the king cake.  Elijah was the winner of the baby Jesus this year.  Makayla found it on the second day in her second piece of king cake!

Getting to jump on the trampoline again

February 25, 2017
This is our last week of basketball.  I sure have had fun playing this season.  I have also improved quite a bit.  I started hustling after the basketball, playing defense, got better at dribbling and even took a couple of shots.  Here is a video of my stellar defense.  The girl I am guarding is in my kindergarten class.  It was fun to get to play against one of my friends in school.
Here is a video of me getting a rebound and then dribbling the ball down to the other side and taking a shot.  It is too bad basketball is ending especially since I was just starting to get into it!  I guess there is always next year.
It is my last game today also.  I didn't quite get into basketball as much as McKenzie.  I would do okay for a minute or two and then I would pretty much stand around and do who knows what.  Here is a video from the beginning of the game.
Here is a video of me doing some dribbling and taking a shot.  Then you can see how quickly I would lose focus.  Maybe next year will be better.
We have been waiting for all the snow to melt off the trampoline and for it to dry off, so, we can jump on it again.
Today we asked mom if we could go on and we were very excited when she said yes!
Check out the air I got!
I was all smiles when I landed.
Jumping on the trampoline again sure brought a big smile to my face.
And a happy dance to show my enthusiasm.
It is so nice to have the trampoline again!  We had a fun day!
