Some extra special park trips

March 29, 2017
We were so excited to have Grandpa and Grandma come and visit us and see our new home!  We had a fun day with them.  We headed out to Prineville to show them where Dad works and out on the Ochoco National Forest to try and find some wild horses.  Unfortunately, we didn't find any wild horses, but we still had a fun day.
That evening we did Christmas presents for them.  I know what you are thinking, "Christmas was a long time ago".  Well we sent them presents, but they got delivered to somebody else and never showed up.  So we redid the gifts that we had sent, but this time mom wasn't going to risk it and mail them, so, we waited to hand deliver them!  I had fun helping Grandma open her presents.
I had a great time helping Grandpa open his!
Then McKenzie and I got to open the Easter bags that they brought for us!!!!!

The next day we headed over to Sister's to check it out.  We had a fun lunch at Three Creeks Brewery, which, is one of Dad'a favorite places to eat.  After lunch we found a playground to play at.  When we asked Makayla what her favorite part about Grandma and Grandpa's visit was she said, "playing at the park with them and then playing at the other park with them!'  I sure do love to play and have people play with me!
It was a little chilly at the park today, but we still had fun playing!

The next day both Mom and Dad went to work and we had a fun day with Grandma and Grandpa.  There is the coolest park here in Redmond that we thought would be the perfect place to go with them!  I had a great time climbing up the rock wall!
Swinging on the saucer swing.  The park really does bring me such joy!
We rode a mountain lion. Oh wait around here we rode a cougar!
We had a blast chasing Grandpa's shadow!
Grandpa pushed me high on the swing!  Weee!
Took some spins in the spinning chair.
Took on a huge rock climbing wall!
I got a fun ride on Grandpa's shoulders.  Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the fun day with you guys!  We had a blast and will think of them every time we go back to the Sam Johnson park!

The next day we headed down to Klamath Falls to spend the day with Great Uncle Jeff.  We had a nice time at lunch with him and then explored the area that he is living in down there.  He took us to the park that they have there and of course we wanted to play.
We brought our scooters and did some scooting around!
Here I go! I am off!
I can get going pretty fast on my scooter now!
I am working on getting faster, but enjoy having a big kids scooter!
We went around back of Great Uncle Jeff's place to explore.
A picture of all of us before we headed back to Redmond.
It was sure nice to have the sun shining, but it made it hard to look at mom to get a good picture!
We rented a van, so, we could all go in one car together today.  We had fun hanging out in the van.
It was a nice little day trip to get to go and see Great Uncle Jeff!

Redding!!!!!!!!!!!!!

March 25, 2017
We have been wanting to get to Redding to go and visit friends that we miss terrible, but just have been able to with school, sports, weather, ect.  Mom realized that I had the Friday off before Spring Break and made some arrangement for us, so, we could have a long weekend in Redding visiting with friends.  On Saturday we were glad that the sun came out and we able to go to the park and meet up with Brooke and Ella.
We headed to one of our favorite parks in Redding, which we like to refer to it as Collin's park, since it is close to his house.  I had a great time climbing like a monkey.
I took on the chain ladder.  It is sure a challenging way to get up on the play structure.
Just hanging around.
Brooke and I had a great time climbing and hanging upside down.  It was so much fun to get to play with her again.
Some pictures of me spinning.
I better get off slowly, so, I don't fall down
We took a little water and snack break before we found something else to play on.
We wanted to swing and spin on the tire swing.
Then we made silly faces for mom while she took pictures of us.
We had a great time making funny faces.
I had a great time swinging really high!
Ella came to join us on the tire swing.
Look no hands!  I am so brave!
Brooke and I took turns pushing and swinging each other all around to spin in a circle.  It was so nice to get to play with Brooke and Ella again we always have so much fun with them.
After the park we headed over to Hallie's house for a play date.  We had a great time hanging out and playing at her house.  It always make me so happy to see Hallie.
We had a blast dressing up in all of her fancy princess dresses.  We put on quite a show.
We always have such a great time when we can get together.

March 26, 2017
This morning we headed to church to get to see a bunch of friends!  It was so nice to be back at a church where it seems like everyone knows you and you know everyone.  After church we headed out to lunch with Collin, Sienna, and Allie.  It was so nice to have the old gang back together again.  We laughed, giggled, ate, and had a fantastic time at the kids table.
We were excited to have Jayden come and join us.  After wards we headed to Allie's house to hanging out and play with her for a little bit.  There is never a dull moment when you are playing with Allie.  She always brightens are day!

March 27, 2017
We had such a fun time staying at Collin and Sienna's house.  We are so thankful for their wonderful hospitality when we come to Redding.  We are excited to get to stay with them, because that means extra time with Collin and Sienna.  We have the greatest time playing together and usually putting on a couple of shows while were are there.  One of these days mom will have to video our shows for you to see.  Thank you so much for everything while we were there.  You guys are the best!
Collin and Sienna had to head to school and we had to head back to Redding.  We sure had a wonderful visit with everyone.  It was so nice to catch up.

Steelhead Falls

March 19, 2017
It was a bright and sunny day today and the weather had warmed up some (somewhere in the 60's), so we thought it would be the perfect time to get out and go for our first hike of the year!
There are supposed to be a lot of great hiking places here in centeral Oregon and we want to explore them.  Today mom found a hike that was fairly close to our house and was a little over a mile.  She figured that for our first hike we would do a short one to ease us into it.
We found a fence to sit on while mom and dad got everything ready.

We are headed to Steelhead Falls for our hike today.
There were some fun rock cliffs that we hiked through to get the to falls.
It is fun to see the different colors in the rocks.
Look at me go, running along the trail.
Our first view of the falls.
I had a great time hiking along and eating my trail mix.
I found a rock to rest on while Dad, Scout, and I waited for mom and Makayla to catch up.
I had fun climbing up on the rock.
Another view of the falls.
Standing in front of Steelhead falls.

I also enjoyed my trail mix along the way.

We made it to the falls and found a place to sit down and rest while we enjoyed the view.
Steelhead falls.
It was such a nice afternoon for a hike.
Dad and McKenzie headed out to an overlook to get a better view.  Wait for us we are coming.
Here is the view they saw.  With all the snow we got this year the Deschutes river was flowing fast and high causing lots of water to rush over the falls.  We will have to come back in the fall and see what it looks like with less water flowing.
Mom wanted to get some photos with us in front of the waterfall, of course I was a good sports about it!

We got Makayla to come over and join in the waterfall photos.

We headed back and on our way we stopped at other view point to see the falls.
Of course some more photos of us in front of the falls.

The Deschutes river along the path.
The trees around here are so interesting.
We took a short bathroom break and had fun playing with sticks while we waited for dad.
Look at the sticks we found.
There were some wildflowers out and about on our hike.  We found these yellow flowers.  Mom thinks that they are Oregon sunshine.  She is not 100% sure and if you know what it is let her know!  We sure a had a fun time out on our hike.
