Slip-n-slide!

I got a slip-n-slide for my birthday and today mom got it out to try out.  We are waiting to make sure that it is covered in water.
Scout thought that he would try it out and have a little water.
Here is a video of me trying it out for the first time.  It was harder than we thought to learn to slide.
My first attempt at the slip-n-slide.
I got on and figured out how to get wet.  It was sure refreshing on a warm Redding evening.
I took to army crawling along the slip-n-slide to make it to the end.
I made it to the end splash zone and did a little swimming.
Hey look at how far I made it on my belly or ran and flopped down.
We learned how to slide on our legs, which was a blast.
From our legs we would flop onto our stomachs and come to a stop.
Here I am in action.
I had a great time standing in the splash pool at the end and having the sprinklers get me soaked.
Here is a shot by shot of my slide from a running start. . .

. . . to a pose at the end.
Hey look I somehow made it to the end.
Hanging out on the slip-n-slide.
We had a great time slip-n-sliding together.
Ta-da!
Oh nooooooo, am I going to make it?
Here is my action shot by shot from running start to . . .

. . . pose at the end
We went over and over and over again.
Each time we got a little better at sliding.
Even though it was in the 90's when we were slip-n-sliding I still got cold after awhile and needed to take a break and warm up.
I on the other hand kept on sliding.
And posing for the camera.
I found a wish flower to blow and was quite excited about it.
Mommy made us a yummy dinner to enjoy outside since we were wet.
After dinner we ran back and forth and raced on the slip-n-slide.
I stopped and posed for mom while I ran!
We had a great time running together and holding hands.
We got pretty excited to make it to the end.
Then we laid down and had fun hanging out together.
This was sure a fun present.  In fact when we headed inside to dry off I told mom, "this is the best present ever!"
This is one more photo from mom's phone that captures Makayla catching some air.

We had so much fun the night before that Mom invited Allie and her mom over for lunch and some slip-n-sliding after basketball camp.
Here is a video of the three of us sliding together.  We have to crack up because you really do put on a better front when you are being filmed.
Allie's mom instructed us on how to properly slide on our stomachs.  As our time went on we got a little bit better at sliding.
The slip-n-slide was just as much fun today as it was yesterday.  Maybe even more since we had Allie this time.
We really did get better about sliding on our stomachs.  Thanks Sara!  You are a great teacher.
Allie and I made it to the end!  We had a blast sliding with Allie!
I had a great time swimming and dancing in the splash pool.

Basketball Camp!

June 20-23, 2016
Simpson's girls basketball team was putting on a basketball camp for kindergarteners through 3rd graders.  Mommy wasn't sure if I would be able to go at first, but it ended up working out.  It was great fun to get to play basketball and see a lot of my friends!
I found this hand kite in the car from McKenzie's birthday party and wanted to bring it inside to fly around.
I had a blast running back and forth with my kite flying behind me.
At the end of the camp we would scrimmage.  Here I am running down the court after the ball.
They divided us up into three teams today and it was our teams turn to sit out.  I am sure I am getting some good advice from our coach!
Naveah joined in the hand kite fun.  We would take turns with the kite and had a great time together while we waited for McKenzie and Noah to be done.
They did a great job of not only teaching us basketball skills, but they spoke to us about and encouraged good character and hard work.
Go team!
We headed back out onto the court to play again.
I kept running back and forth the whole time they scrimmaged.  I am going to be as tired as McKenzie when this is all done.
At the end of every day they would pass out awards to a camper in each grade who did well that day.  Today I got an award for being a good listener.
Here is the cup that I got as an award.  I was very excited about it especially since my other water bottle got lost a week or so ago.
Day three and Allie and I are ready to play!
At the end of day three they gave us shirts that they wanted us all the wear tomorrow.  I thought I would try mine on to see how it would fit.
We had another fun day at basketball camp.
It is day 4 of basketball camp.  We would not stay the whole time.  Usually we would watch for a little bit and then run some errands and head back for the end.
This morning we watched McKenzie practicing her shot.
Here is a video of me making a basket.
I sure had a blast at basketball camp!
Mom and Makayla made it back in time to watch me play!
I brought my Finding Dory activity book to do while we watched McKenzie play!

I love these little at activity cases.  This is my third one I have had.  Of course they have been different characters!  They worked great to help keep me busy while we waited.
A group photo of all the kids and coaches that were at the camp.
A little bit closer up of me in the group shot.
We had fun running around and play after the camp was over.  Mom gathered up Isaiah, Allie, Sienna, Trey, and Collin for a group photo of us!
Then she had to get one of us in our matching shirts.
Makayla and I had a great time climbing into the wall.
I almost got myself into the wall.
A sweet sister picture.
We had a great time sitting there together.
They were doing an official signing a little bit later in the day, so, we thought we would head over and pretend that we were signing on to play for the Red Hawks with coach Isaiah!
