A visit from the Asheville cousins

July 19, 2015
When we got home, some of the peaches on our tree were ripe.  Jonah was a big fan of getting to pick the peaches and eating them!  We were glad that they were ripe, especially since, he loved them so much!
We had fun playing Zingo with Aunt Susan while we got everything ready to go to the lake.
We took the jeep out with Jonah around the cul-de-sac!
Jonah managed to fit in and drive it around for a little bit!
We headed out to pick some peaches to enjoy!
Grammy and I had fun picking peaches together!
I even got to go out and pick some peaches this year!
This is one heavy bowl of fruit from our backyard!
Micah and I are ready to drive out to the lake to play!
We only had one full day with our cousins here in Redding, so, we thought we would try to make it as fun as possible.  One of our favorite places to go is Whiskeytown lake.  We brought out the kayak, the boat with tube, and some beach toys!  Ezekiel and Granpy paddled the kayak around from the boat launch to the beach.  They had a good row!
Micah wanted to go out with Granpy in the kayak!
While Daddy took Uncle Jeff, Aunt Susan, Jonah, Ezekiel, and Micah out in the boat to tube, we stayed at the beach with Mom, Grammy, and Granpy and played in the water!
It was a beautiful day at the lake, just perfect for playing and swimming around!
We had fun swimming around together!
It was fun to have Granpy help me jump high!
Look at how fast I can go!
McKenzie, Granpy, and I played catch with the water toss game!
I got Granpy's net and had fun catching and throwing the ball!
While we were swimming, these boys seemed to have a lot of fun playing in the boat!
Jonah and Ezekiel loved tubing behind the boat and wanted Daddy to go faster!
Micah and Aunt Susan went out together!  Micah seemed to have a great time!
This picture is great.  At times the rope would cause the water to spray you in the face.  It is getting Uncle Jeff and Ezekiel, but they sure do look like they are having fun!
When they got back, we had to refill up to the tube before I got to head out.  I had fun playing in the sand with Micah while we waited!
Jonah wanted a chance to go out in the kayak with Granpy!
The tube is full of air and ready for us to head out!  We are so excited to get to try tubing!
Granpy and I went out first, so, mom could take pictures of me on my first tube ride!  I loved every minute of it!  This smile did not leave my face the entire time!
We got sprayed in the face, but we didn't let that stop us from having fun!
This is what I did the whole time.  I kept giving Daddy the thumbs up sign to go faster.  I couldn't get enough or go fast enough.  Mom just keeps being amazed at how much of a thrill seeker I have become.  Dad said, "I went as fast as my older cousins when they were on!"

Here is a video of me out tubing!
I (Makayla) got to go out in the tube also.  I liked the tube, but I didn't like to go fast.  I kept telling mom to have them slow down.  I like a nice leisurely pull around the lake!
Dad let us out of the boat and the boys got back on the boat.  Dad sent us out with the knee board and I knee boarded into shore with mom pulling me a long the way!  It was so much fun to have Uncle Jeff, Aunt Susan, Jonah, Ezekiel, and Micah stop by our house!  We loved having them here!  It was great to catch up with them!

Crater Lake!

July 18, 2015
Today, we headed back to Redding.  My cousins, Jonah, Micah, and Ezekiel are stopping by our house to visit us for a couple of nights.  On the way home, we stopped by Crater Lake National Park to see it.
It was a beautiful place to stop and visit on the way home!
Mom tried to get a picture of Daddy, Makayla, and me, but Makayla didn't really want to be in the picture.
 Here is Crater Lake!
A family picture of us in front of Crater Lake.
We had fun walking around and exploring different views.
The wall made for a perfect place to sit and rest and get a picture!
The view of Mt Shasta on the way home!

German dress!

July 18, 2015
Aunt Helen and Grammy both had little German dresses that they were given from I believe a neighbor from German when they were little girls.  Aunt Helen still has hers, Grammy's got lost.  Aunt Helen brought hers to Sunriver to get a picture of me in it.  We have a picture of Aunt Helen and Grammy in them and then when mom was a little girl they took a picture of her in it.  Rumor has it there is even one of Uncle Scott!  Here I am in the German dress!
Makayla thought she would get in the picture.  Give her a couple of years and we will be getting a picture of her in the dress!
We thought we might have missed out on the dress fitting me, but it fit just perfectly.
Here is the picture of mom in the dress about thirty years ago.
Here is the original photo of Grammy (right) and Aunt Helen (left).

Lave cast

July 17, 2015
For our last day in Sunriver, we thought we would check out the Lava Cast Forest!  Sydney and I had a cute pose in front of the sign!
Today's hike was only about a mile, so, I got to hike it!  I was actually willing to hold a hand right now, most of the time, I wanted to run by myself and make everybody nervous!
This tree was a perfect place to stop and getting a picture of all of us kids!
Today, Daddy got the day off!  We thought we would get another family picture, but this time will all of us in it!
This is a lava cast.  It is a cast of a tree that was there when the lava came through.  The tree died off put the cast of the tree is still there!
Daddy and I got down into one.  They were fun wholes to climb in!
This one was big enough that it could fit all of us kids in it!
Everybody else got out, but I stayed around to get a picture of just me!

We wanted to get a family picture of us in a lava cast!
This one is just my size!
I found the perfect Makayla one!
I don't think we could squeeze another person in this one!
Sydney and I like this twisted fallen tree and thought it would be the perfect place to sit and rest for a moment!

We got Aunt Helen and Makayla to join us on the tree!
Lucky thing there were a lot of benches along the way to rest on, since, I walked the whole way.  Uncle Scott, Sydney, and I stopped to enjoy the view!
The older kids had fun climbing in the cast tunnels.  I wanted to climb in to, so, Jonah helped me out.  It is fun to see the oldest grandchild with the youngest one!
A picture of us girls with Grammy and Granpy!
Aunt Helen had mom and Dad get in the picture, so, we could get our whole family with Grammy and Granpy!
All of us girls fit into this lava cast just perfectly.  Aren't we cute together!
A sweet picture of me on the bench!
Mom just loves this picture that Aunt Susan got of the two of us!
I got to stand on a tree stump and be really tall!  Thanks Aunt Helen for keeping me safe.
I love to wear my sunglasses upside down.  These ones I usually wear the correct way, but today, I thought it would be funny to put them upside down!
Uncle Jeff and I tried to give Wyatt a hug, but he wasn't so into it!
I thought I would be silly and wear my sunglasses upside down just like me sister!
That is better!  We finished our hike and are ready to head back to the place in Sunriver for our next adventure of the day!
We headed to the pool.  I got to ride my bike all the way down to the pool.  This time Dad was able to join us!  First thing we did was headed to go down the water slide.  I had not been down the tube slide yet, so, we got us a double tube and headed up to go down!
Here is a video of Dad and I coming down the water slide.
Grammy took me into the pool to play around while McKenzie and Dad went down the slide and mom took some pictures!
I loved to jump around in the pool.  My favorite area was the walk in pool, where, I could reach and jumps to my hearts delight!
After, I went down the tube slide with Daddy, I wanted to go down the tunnel slide again!
The slides were so much fun to go down.  I wasn't scared one bit about going down and so excited about being able to go!
We had fun swimming with mom!
A family photo of us in the pool!
Aunt Sarah and I had a great time swimming around in the pool together!
I got to show off how well I can float and even swim on my own!
There was a log and a shark that people could play on.  Aunt Sarah took me over to sit and play on the log.
After we finished at the pool, we headed over to the sledding hill to watch a little sledding.
I was fun to hang out with Grammy and watch.
Daddy and McKenzie, as well as the rest of the group, are walking up the hill to the top.
Mom and I raced dad down the hill!
We beat dad down the hill!  It was sure fun to race him!
I am all ready to go again!  I loved sledding!
Here I am sledding down the hill.
I rode with Grammy in Aunt Sarah's car down to the pool.  I helped her carry her bag to the car.
We rode down to the village to get some ice cream at Goody's!
Here we are all lined up on the bench eating our ice cream!
I enjoyed my strawberry ice cream.
I had Aunt Sarah help me with my strawberry ice cream.
When I was done with my ice cream, I thought I would share Aunt Helen's with her!
I am all ready to get back on my bike and bike from the village to the house.  We sure had a fun time in Sunriver with everybody!
