9 1/2 month giraffe picture

August 14, 2013
This month, I got all dressed up in a pretty dress to have my picture taken in front of my giraffe.  It is the same dress that my sister had on in her 9 1/2 month giraffe picture, so mommy thought it would be fun to dress me in it to.
I am getting a lot more active in my pictures these days!  Here I am sitting up real tall.
Here I am moving away from the giraffe.  I just did not want to sit by him and get my picture taken.  There are way to many other fun things to do!
I got put back by the giraffe again for one last photo.  Here I am at 9 1/2 months!  Look at how I have grown.

 McKenzie at 39 1/2 months
Wow, how I have grown!  You can barley see the giraffe behind me these days!
Mommy and I had made some frozen chocolate bananas the other day and after lunch I got to have one as a reward.  They were sure yummy!

I got the hang of eating them pretty quickly.  My method was to eat the chocolate off and then eat the banana when it was uncovered.  I got to put the sprinkles on the chocolate after they were dipped.
I love to play with the kitchen stuff, so today mommy put me up to the kitchen to let me play at it.  I have a little bit longer until I can reach the microwave, but I still had a lot of fun.
About a month ago, I got my 1st tooth and then the other one quickly followed behind.  Mommy tried to get a picture of my teeth for sometime now, but has not really be able to.  In this picture you can see my bottom two teeth!

A fruity animal week!

August 10, 2013
Wow!  This picture screems I am three and I really don't want my picture taken!
Two against one and we conquered Daddy!
Pour Daddy is tired and ready for bed (fishing really does wear a guy out!).  He layed down to rest for a minute and we crawled on top of him.  Well, I crawled on top of him and then asked Mommy if she would put Makayla in my lap.  She thought, "what a great pose for a picture", so she was more than happy too!

This is the first year that our peach tree produced peaches, so we went out and picked some of them to eat and make yummy food with.  It produced quite a few peaches this year, but mommy went out too early and tried one that wasn't ready and decided to wait a bit.  She waited to long and a lot of them fell off the tree.  Next year, we will do a better job of harvesting our peaches.  I sure did enjoy the ones that we did eat!  I think Makayla got most of them.  She loved and gobbled them right up!
We also went out to get the last of the plums.  We had tons of plums all summer and they were sure yummy!
I think that the plums may have been my favorite and I ate the majority of them.  One day, we were sitting down to lunch and I asked mommy, "where my fruit was?"   She told me, "to eat the rest of my lunch first and then we would talk fruit."  I said, "Okay then lets talk about plums, because I would like some of those!"

I have been wanting to get a bird house for a couple weeks now, so that the birds have somewhere to live.  It think I got the idea one Friday morning when I was watching Curious George and he got a bird house.  Anyway, mommy said that we could find one and put it outside.  The other day at the store, I came upon this little bird house and was so excited about it.  Mommy and Daddy happily spent the whole dollar and bought me a bird house.
The best part of the bird house was that I got to decorate it and make it pretty for the birds that are going to live in it.  I love to paint and did a great job on my bird house.
 My painting getup!
Mommy and I went into my room to put away some of my clothes.  She put me on the futon and started giving me all my stuffed animals, before you know it I was covered in them and happy as can be!
Now which one do I start playing with now!  I am so lucky to have so many fun stuffed animals to play with!
Here is a picture of McKenzie at the same age piled up with her stuffed animals.  Mommy didn't even realize until after she took the pictures that she did the same type of photo at the same age.  That worked out better than if she had planned it!

Playing in our airplanes!

August 8, 2013
Today, McKenzie empty out our diaper boxes, so that Belle (her dolly), could have a bed and she could carry her around in it.  After awhile, Belle got out and I got in, so that Mommy could fly me out to the living room.
Our boxes turned into airplanes and we pretended to fly all over the place.  Well to my usual places, Grandma and Grandpa's, Grammy and Granpy's, and Disneyland!  Here we are off on another adventure.
I came out of my room in my rain boots, I guess I was expecting it to rain.  Maybe, Makaya and I were flying somewhere rainy!  I love to play in my box.
My favorite parts were playing with my sister and having mommy fly me all around the house!
I had a great time playing with my sister too, however, I really liked mommy flying me around the house!
One last picture of us in our boxes.  It really is true that you can have more toys than you know what to do with, but have the most fun with the boxes!
A little hide and seek behind the entryway wall!
After all of our adventures in our planes, we needed a snack.
I was in charge of getting a picnic for Makayla and I.  Makayla loves to play with the pretend food.  Most of the time she tries to eat it even though it isn't real.  I am pretty good about sharing my food with her!
How do I get a piece of this celery off to eat it?  McKenzie went and found something else to do and I got to have my own picnic.
Scout looks out the window all the time, so I thought I would see what he sees.  I am not quite tall enough yet to see out.  Give me a couple of months and I should be able to!
I guess I will just have to eat the window instead!  I seriously eat everything
I used to be just like Makayla and standing on my tip toes to see out, now I have no trouble at all.  How did I get so big so quick?

Lazy days of august

August 1-7, 2013
I love to roar like a lion.  When ever mommy says, "What does the lion say?"  I roar just like a little lion cub.  Here you can her this little lion cub.
We have all had colds around here and our July was very busy, so we are having a low key August.  I am hanging out rolling around on the floor.  Now how to I get on this horsey?
Say cheese!  Nothing says relaxing more than kicking back and hang out on the couch.
I still can't figure out how to ride this horse.  My sister makes it look like so much fun!
 A little sisterly love!
My sister really likes to give me hugs.  Wow, she is really strong!
That is better!  Not quiet so tight!
Right now I love to clap and dance when the music comes on.  Here I am clapping and having a great time.
The weather has been so nice around here that when I asked my mom to play outside today she was all about it.  My mom is not a fan of sand at all, so I am stuck playing with the bark chips like they are sand.  I love it and am entertained by it!
Having a great time out on my playground!
I was putting my bark chips on my swing and then pushing them off.  I thought that this was hilarious.
Out of bark chips and I need some more!
