Rice Krispy Treat Trains!

December 14, 2013
McKenzie and I had fun going on a picnic and playing together while we waited for our friends to show up.  I love to hold my sister's hand as we walk around.
Today instead of doing Gingerbread house, we had my friends over to decorate Rice Krispy Treat trains.  Shiloh and I just got our trains and are ready to start decorating!

We had lots of tubes of frosting and candies to decorate with and make our trains pretty.
 Shiloh is just getting started!
Corban had a great time decorating his.
 Hannah got creative with hers.
Collin stopped playing for a little bit in order to decorate his.
Sienna had so much fun decorating hers she decorated another one.
Shiloh and I had a great time sitting by each other and doing our trains.
David is working on his with the help of his mother.
Shiloh, Collin, and I had fun at our end of the table.
 Hannah's finished product.
 Sienna's finished product.
Makayla wanted to come out and see what all the fuss is about.  Next year I will be able to decorate one.
I had so much fun with my first one I wanted to decorate a second one.
A quick break from decorating to smile for the camera.
After decorating, it was time for lunch.  We had a festive Christmas spread with reindeer sandwiches, Chirstmas tree wraps and veggie tray and a grape wreath.
After lunch, it was time for dessert.  Katelyn was excited to get some special cookies in the rocking chair.
I got a slice of one of my trains.  It was sure yummy.
Here's Caleb ready to eat his train.  That is a big train!
David enjoying a slice of his train.
Corban is taking on his with excitement.
 That is a big bite.
Did I get all the candies off?
Collin and I had matching penguin shirts on (boy and girl versions of course) , so we had to get our picture taken together.
I had fun hanging out with Daddy on the couch.
This is Caleb eating his last bite of his train.  We were amazed that he was able to eat the whole thing.  We had so much fun having our friends over for a fun activity.

Redding Christmas Parade

December  7, 2013
Tonight is the Redding Christmas parade.  It was a cold night for Redding standards, so, we got all bundled up and headed out to watch it.  Here we are waiting for the parade to begin.  We were glad that mommy grabbed her down blanket to snuggle in.
Makayla thought sitting in the stroller didn't sound like too much fun and wanted out to snuggle under the blanket with us.
Here comes the parade!  The theme this year was delight with lights or something like that.  Everything had to had a light on it.  That meant even all the people.  It was a perfect theme for these little girls, since they liked the lights.
The Redding utilities had person dressed up as a duck and I was brave and gave him a big hug.
Makayla loved the marching bands.  There is not much that is more captivating in Makayla's world than music and lights.  She was mesmerized the whole time.
She would watch them from first site until she could not see them anymore.
McKenzie had fun looking at all the cool floats.  It was a fun family outing at the Parade.  McKenzie wanted to go back again.  She was sad that it would be another year before we could see it again.

Snow in Redding!

December 7, 2013
It actually really snowed in Redding this year, so we went and played in it Friday night just in case it melted by morning.  I was excited to be able to stomp around and make boot prints.
Here is the swing set all snowed on.  Doesn't it look pretty all covered.
It kept coming down in pretty big flakes.  I was all smiles to be out in it.
Daddy and I went out front to make this little snowman.  Mommy found a baby carrot nose for him.  It was fun to make a snowman.

December 8, 2013
When we woke up in the morning, there was a lot of snow for Redding standards, so, we got all bundled up and headed out to play.  Mommy put me down in it and I wasn't too sure about it.  I didn't hate it and seemed pretty fascinated by it.
Daddy went out to help McKenzie build a snowman, but she wanted to play instead of build a snowman, so, I came over to help.  This is going to be a tall snowman when the base is taller than me.
After awhile, I came over to help daddy build the snowman.  We are making his head.
I had fun playing peek-a-boo around the snowman base.
Mom had to get a picture of our palm tree with snow on it.
I had a lot of fun playing in the snow.
I wanted to go down the slide and get all the snow off.  I pushed it right off.
It was time to put arms on our snowman.  We went on a hunt for the perfect sticks in our backyard and found some that would work.  Daddy pushed them in.
I got out of the snow and sat in the chair.  I was pretty happy to rest in the chair.
We had to use a baby carrot, since, that is all we had.  Daddy lifted me up, so that, I could get his nose in.
After our snowman was done, I went to make a ice castle with my sand castle bucket.  It worked well to pack the snow in and make castles with it.
Here we are in front of our snowman.
When we were done playing, we went inside to warm up with hot cocoa in our special Christmas mugs.  Yummy!
We did our computer advent calendar while we drank our hot chocolate.  It was a fun morning in the snow.
