Playing in the snow at Grandma and Grandpa's

February 5, 2013
Hanging out and relaxing on the couch at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We made it to Steamboat Springs, Co and I got to do a little relaxing.
We got all bundled up and went to play out in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard.  I had to some snow shoveling, so that, we could get off of the deck and into the yard.  That shoveling snow is a lot of work.
I hung out with Grandma while Daddy, Mommy, and McKenzie played in the snow.  I am one big pink puff ball.  At least I stayed warm.  It is a lot colder in Colorado than at home in California.
The snow was so deep in their backyard that mommy sunk down to her thighs while trying to help me walk along.  That is a lot of snow.
She had to carry me, so that, I could get around with out falling into the snow.
Daddy and Mommy made me a little sledding hill in the backyard to go down.  I am all ready to do down,  give me a little push daddy!
Here I go!  Wee! all the way down to mom!
Now I understand why I had a frightened look on my face, at the end I fell off the track and got stuck in the snow bank.
Makayla wanted to try sledding.  She didn't really go sledding, she just sat in the sled with me for a photo.
We decided to head out front to play, so that I could walk around.  Daddy built me a snow cave to play in. It was the perfect size for me.
There were huge icicles hanging down from the house.  Daddy got one down for me to touch.  We definitely don't have icicles like that where I live.
We got some fresh untouched snow and made snow cones out of them.
 What a yummy treat!
Grandpa came home from work and we got to hang out.

Getting to see G. G.

February 3, 2013
That afternoon we drove to Colorado Springs, so that we could meet up with G. G.  We went out to dinner at a really fun pizza place.  We had a lot of fun catching up and Makayla enjoyed meeting her G.G.
The pizza place had a really fun slide.  I had a blast going down it over and over again.  I am getting so brave and trying bigger and bolder things.  It is amazing how I am growing.  Although if you look closely at my face you can see the look of terror on it.
Here is a video of me going down the slide.
The next morning we caught up with G.G again for breakfast and sometime to hang out.  We had a lot of fun hanging out and laughing.
We were glad that Great Aunt Nancy and Uncle Dan could join us for breakfast.  Makayla had a great time being held by Great Aunt Nancy.  It was fun to catch up with them.
This is my Great great Aunt Sherri, G.G.'s sister.  I took a great nap with her.  It was fun to meet all the new family.  We had a great time at breakfast.
I got to spend some more time with G.G.  I was pretty happy to see her again!
One last photo with G.G., Great Aunt Nancy, and Great Uncle Dan, before we headed over the mountains to  Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Meeting Great Grandma at Cracker Barrel

February 3, 2012
We flew into Denver and my Great Grandma drove from Julesburg to meet us there.  We went to Cracker Barrel for lunch to hang out and catch up.  I had a lot of fun playing at Cracker Barrel.
Every time we go to Colorado, Cracker Barrel is a must stop for mommy and daddy. They love it and sadly there isn't one near us.  I have to say that I agree it is sure yummy.
I got some macaroni and cheese which is one of my favorite foods.  I gobbled it down.  I even tried some fried okra and liked it.  I got to use a big fork.
Hanging out with Great Grandma after lunch.

They have little rocking chairs out front that I had fun rocking in.  I had to get out of this one because somebody ended up buying it.
Mommy really wanted a family photo of us in the rocking chairs.  This is the only one she got.  It is hard to get four people looking and smiling.  Maybe next time.
Here are three generation of women
Then we convienced Daddy to get in the photo so there would be four generation in one photo.
Makayla had a great time meeting Great Grandma for the first time.  We are so glad that she drove to see us.

Going on an airplane

February 2, 2013
Today we drove to the San Fransisco airport to get on a plane to fly to Colorado to see Grandma and Grandpa.  Mommy looked back and I had both my pacifier and my cup in my mouth at the same time.  How silly I can be.  I must not have been paying attention to what I was doing and was busy watching my movie.
Mommy looked back to check on me, to make sure I was okay, and I was out sleeping.  I was enjoying the view as we went so much that I fell asleep while looking out the window.
When we got the our gate, we went and found a spot where I could see out and watch the airplanes take off and land.
I had a lot of fun watching the airplanes.  There were some that were big and some that were smaller.  I got so excited each time I saw one.

Our plane arrived and we got to get on.  I was excited to sit by the window and watch us take off from the ground and fly high in the sky.  I was sure a good traveler.
Here I am on my first airplane ride.  I am 3 months old and already off on adventures in the sky.  I did great on the plane.  Mom and Dad are so lucky that I am such a good traveler!
I loved the snack you got on the plane.  You can't beat crackers, peanuts, and orange juice.  It was a great way to pass the time in the air!

Working those neck muscles

January 29, 2013
I have been working really hard on building my neck muscles and getting my head up there.
I really like to lick and taste everything.  My tongue is out an awful lot.  I hear it is a sister thing because McKenzie had her tongue out all the time.
Just resting my chin and my neck before I give it another chance.
I get upset after being on my tummy for too long, so, mommy takes pity on me and puts me on my back to play.
That is defiantly better and to reward her for turning me onto my back I give her a smile.
and then an even bigger smile.
What a pouty face.  McKenzie was reading to herself while I got ready, so I thought I would take a picture. She wasn't so sure of the idea.
This is the face that I am going to see a lot of in about 10 to 12 years.  I can hardly wait!

A little bit of randomness

January 27, 2013
So I got this hat from my Grandma and Grandpa about 2 years ago to go with a dress, but the hat was too big at the time.  So today mommy remembered the hat and thought it would go with my vest.  I sure do look cute in hats.
Look at that sweet face!
Daddy and I were hanging out after church and he thought that I would like to look at the Cabela's catalog with him.  He was right.  I would look at the pages and check out all the stuff they had.
He would turn the page and my head would go back and forth looking from one page to another.  Who knew a Cabela's catalog could be so interesting.  I think he is trying to get me interested very young.
Our friends girl had this fishing vest from when she was littler, but out grew it, so they gave it to me for all my fishing adventures.  Of course I wanted to try it on and wear it.  Mommy couldn't resist getting a photo of me in my get up.  We had just come home from our small group, so it was my bed time and mommy put on my pj's.  Then I wanted to walk to the car so she put my boots on over my pj's and then I found the vest when I got home.  I can't wait to go out and try my fishing vest.

3 months

January 25, 2013
It is hard to believe that I turned three months already.  Time goes so quickly.  I am a sweet fun loving baby. I am a very content little baby most of the time.  I love my hands.  I usually have them in my mouth to suck on.  I am a good sleeper at night, but I am not as good of a napper as my sister is.  Mommy says that we are going to keep working on it.
I love to smile and I charm everybody I see with my smile.  I really do love people and enter acting with them.  I am very good at making eye contact when I am conversing with people.  I will look you straight in the eye and then talk you ear off.  I sure do love to talk.

McKenzie wanted her picture taken when mommy was taking mine.  That looks like a good lunch.
I love my play mat.  I play with all my toys and talk to them.  I am usually very happy to be put down there to play.  I reach up and grab a hold of all the toys. I am really not that chunky of a baby, but in this picture I look bigger then I am.  At two months I was 10 lbs 22 1/2 inches.  I don't go in for a 3 month check, so my mom weighed me and I was about 10 lbs 8 oz, just a wee little munch.

Talking to myself!

Today while mommy made lunch for McKenzie, I got to hang out in the swing for a little bit.  Mom came out of the kitchen to watch me talk to the girl in the mirror.  Then she had to get a video of it.  Here I am talking to that cute girl.  I talk to everything these days.
