Scout's Birthday!

 March 8, 2016
This week we are celebrating Scout's Birthday or his adoption into our family, since, we don't know when he was really born.  Somehow Makayla remembered that Scout's birthday is in March and keeps asking when we are going to throw him a party.
This morning before we headed to school we thought we would have a little picnic with Scout.  We even gave him a plate and some pretend food.  He was willing to sit with us and join in our picnic.  I think he really wanted me to feed him his breakfast, so, he was going to stay close until I feed him!

This picture has nothing to do with Scout's birthday, but it was a really cute one of me, so, it needed to get added!
I gave mom some cute pictures too, so, she put these ones in of me!

Since we were doing portraits we thought we would get a portrait of Scout.  Here is the birthday boy at 9 years old.  Where does the time go?
We thought today to celebrate Scout we would shower him with love!  Nothing like some hugs and petting!
I think he likes it and is telling me to love him some more!
Scout is really good to us girls.  He stayed there and let us hug him for quite awhile.  He puts up with a lot just to get some attention!
There we go!  Our photo with Scout with all of us looking!  That is really hard to get two kids and a dog looking at the camera at the same time!

It has really been raining here the last couple of days which is good!  The lake is rising and helping end the drought!  I like the rain because I get to use my Minnie umbrella!  It kept me dry as we walked from our car to Turtle Bay.
That night we had our party for Scout.  It wasn't a very big party.  Poor Scout doesn't have any dog friends to invite and his best friend Granpy was too far away to attend, so, we settled on just us for a party.  There were no decorations, but there were presents.  I think Scout was just fine with that!
We did a happy birthday dace for Scout!
He sat and waited for his presents!
Scouty loves to unwrap presents!  He gets a little sad when it is our birthday's and he doesn't get to unwrap any gifts.  He was pretty excited that this time the gifts were for him!
We were really good and watched him unwrap the gifts and didn't even help him!
It was fun to give Scout his presents and watch him open them!
Scout got all his present opened.  They were only treats, but he seemed okay with that!
Since Scout got some treats for his birthday we thought we should get some treats for his birthday.  Mom made dog shaped brownies for us!
Here is half of my dog brownie.  We had a great time celebrating Scout.  We really do love that crazy mutt!
