Christmas Eve

December 23, 2015
This morning while Dad and Grandpa were taking back the rental car, we got all bundled up to go play in the feet and feet of snow in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard.
I am all bundled up with layers and layers on to help keep me warm out in the cold.
While Grandma worked on shoveling the deck to make a path, I climbed up the mound of snow to explore around.
I had fun stomping down on the snow to make a path up to the top, so, I could sled down.
Here I go trying to make a small sledding hill in the backyard.
It was tricky walking up to the top to sled down.  I usually needed a hand to help me get to the top.
It was perfect snow for making some snow angels.
Grandma helped me make a snow angel in the mound of snow.
I had so much fun in the snow.  I kept going and going and going.
I tried to make a sled run down the other side of the mound of snow, but the sled tipped at the end.
I found a little icicle.
The snow was a lot easier for me to forge around in than Makayla, so, I tried to make paths through it.
Oops I fell down.
I liked to sit on the steps to the hot tub and watch McKenzie tromp around in the snow.

I tried out a little backyard sledding.
It was fun!
Now how do I get out of this sled?
We really wanted to make a snowman, so, we thought we would try.  However, we quickly found out that Steamboat snow is to light and powdery to make snowman with.

Grandma and I tried hard to get the clumps of snow we found to role and accumulate more snow.
We thought that maybe if we sprayed them with water and then rolled them maybe they would collect snow.  I had fun squirting the snow with the spray bottle.
We sure had fun trying to make a snowman.
Grandma helped me spray my little ball in hopes that it would work.
We soaked that small ball of snow I had, but it just didn't seem to help.
I gave up with the snowman and decided to go walking in the deep snow.
Walking in the deep snow is a lot of work and wears a girl out.  Lucky thing I found a nice place to sit and rest.
Grandma came up with a new idea of how to make a snowman.  We found some empty flower pots and filled them with snow and packed it down really well.  Then we added a little water and left them there to freeze and see if we could make a snowman with them the next day.
It was sure cold in Colorado.  It was so cold out there that I had an icicle form on my stocking cap while we were out playing.  I thought it was pretty cool to have an icicle on my Frozen stocking cap.
We took the sled out to the front to see if we could do a little sledding down the drive way.  I thought I would give McKenzie a ride.
It was fun to sled down the drive way!
Wee!  We didn't go to fast, but we still had fun trying!
A trip down together!
A snow angel on the snow bank out front.

We got huge icicles from the house!
Check out this one!
Playing in all that snow out in the cold made a spot in front of the fire place a perfect place to warm up.
We enjoyed some lunch and tea in front of the fire.
We had fun reading a story with Grandma before we settled down for a nap!
I wanted to get in on the tree decorating fun!
The tree still needed to be decorated and we knew the right people to make that happen!  I love to decorate Christmas trees!
I got all dressed up in my Christmas dress and this year I was very excited that Katelyn had a Christmas dress that matched mine!
Reese and I had matching Christmas dresses too!
Katelyn and I had fun posing for pictures!  Here are some pictures of us in our Christmas dresses!

A cute one with us and Grandma and Grandpa.
A couple of family Christmas Eve pictures.

Daddy and I had fun hanging out on the couch together.
A sweet moment between sisters.
We are ready to put our pajamas on and go to bed, so, we can celebrate Christmas tomorrow.
