Daddy work day and field day

June 15, 2017
Today at my school they had a father's day project day.  All the fathers were invited to come and build a project with us. I was very excited to have dad join me today at school.
We got to choose between three projects and we chose to make a wagon.  I had fun hammering it together.  After we made our projects we then had some refreshments.  Dad and I enjoyed our refreshments together!
At my school today we had field day.  One of the stations was face painting.  There were a lot of fun stations that I went to during field day.  One of my favorites was the dance station.
After school today we headed up stairs to play with the new wagon that Dad and I made.  That is one sturdy wagon to be able to hold three princesses and their horses!
I wanted to keep my face painting on as long as possible.
Both of us sure had a fun day at school with all the fun activities we got to do!

Kindergarten Graduation

June 13, 2017
The day has arrived!  It is official!  McKenzie has graduated from Kindergarten.  They had a little kindergarten graduation at our school today.
We headed into the gym to receive our kindergarten diplomas.
Here I am walking to receive mine.
Giving my teacher Ms. Jinings a hug.
In music we learned three songs to perform at our graduation.  Here are the songs we sang or at least part of them.
It was sure fun to learn and sing the songs for our parents.
After our graduation we headed back to our classroom where we were given our certificates.
I am waiting for my name to be called.
Here is my kindergarten graduation certificate.
A photo with my teacher, Ms. Jinings.
Then we headed to the community room for some refreshments and to hang out.  We got a picture of the graduate with Makayla and Dad.
Then one with Mom.
A picture of the graduate.
Some of Makayla and I.

A picture with some friend from my class.  We had the option of going home early or staying for the rest of the day.  Mom gave me to choice to leave or stay.  Of course I wanted to stay.  There ended up being 9 kids in the class that stayed.  It was fun to have such a small class for the day.
While McKenzie was at school I wanted to try on her mortarboard and see what if felt like to be a kindergarten graduate.

Field trip to Hope Park

June 12, 2017
Today McKenzie's class walked over to Hope Park for an end of the year field trip.  I got to tag-a-long on this field trip, so, mom would be able to chaperone.
This is McKenzie's field trip, but most of the pictures are of me!  I had to stay close to mom while she helped keep an eye on all the kids in McKenzie's class.  She figured that since this was McKenzie time to have fun with her friends that's what she would let her do and not hound her with taking a bunch of pictures of her.
I was quite willing to have my picture taken today!  Watch me go on this rock wall!  I was having a blast climbing up it.
Nothing like a little spinning to make you dizzy.  Oh how kids can do this?
I road a ferocious mountain lion.  So brave!
We did catch McKenzie going down the slide!
This is the fierce face you make when you conquer the rock tunnel.

The smile when you are ready to celebrate making it to the top!
We could either bring our own lunch or we could have pizza.  I asked mom if it would be okay to have pizza instead of bringing my lunch which I normally do.
She was more than happy to not have to make a lunch for me today and for me to have a special treat.
After lunch we had a blast rolling down the hill.  I am headed up to see how fast I can roll down.
I had fun sitting and watching all the kids.  For some reason I didn't want to roll down.
This picture reminding mom of when I was little and I would always hold one foot up when I was sitting on the grass.  Some old habits we just have to revisit some times.
Here I am at about a year with my foot up while sitting in the grass.  Got to love the throw back photos every once in awhile.
I better watch out or McKenzie, who is up above me, is going to roll down into me!
I got out of her and her friends way and went up to the top to hang out.
I had fun climbing the rope latter.  There is so much to do at this playground.
It was sure a fun field trip to Hope park!  After lunch we played for a little longer and then it was time to walk back to the school!  I hope McKenzie had as much fun on her field trip as I did!  I am sure she did.

Checking out Daddy's projects

June 11, 2017
Today we headed out to the Ochocco National Forest.  We hear that they have wild horse on the Ochocco, but dad is the only one who has seen them.  We thought that we would see if we could find them today.
While we were traveling through the Ochocco we stopped by some of the projects that Dad has been in charge of and check them out.
Here is one the the big culverts that he designed.
He took me out to the edge and held on to me, so, I could look through the culvert and see what a culvert does!
Of course I wanted to go out on the culverts too!
You guessed it!  I wanted to see through also!
We are headed back up to the road to keep on looking for animals.
Here is the other big culvert that Dad designed.  We stopped at this one to check it out too!
This time we were all on the culvert at the same time.  I hope it is structurally sound!!!!!!!!  We had a the confidence in the world that it was!
We didn't end up seeing the wild horses.  We did see some deer, elk, and pronghorn.  I guess we will have to go and and see the wild horses another time!

Biking to Centennial park

June 6, 2017
Today we were going to bike down to Hope park to play and then bike back.  Well the trail was closed for maintenance, so, we took a different route and ended up going to the spray park to cool off before we biked back to the house.
Here I go ready to brave the cold water to cool me down.
I am going to think about it a little and decided how I am going to approach the water, so I can get wet without getting too wet.
I went down and back and am ready to do it again.
I did it!  I got soaked.  I am not so sure about being this soaked!
Well since I am wet, I guess I should go for it and get soaked from my head to my toes.
Nothing like those sweet sister moments.
That water just sprays up everywhere and can be startling.
Here I come mom.  I am running toward you!
I made it.  I sure do feel cooled off.
If I put my foot on the hole then it stops the water from coming out!  What a neat trick.
I am ready to run through from one end to the other.
Here is a video of us running through the water fountains.  After we cooled off enough we got back on our bikes and headed home!
