Pillow time!

July 16, 2014
Right now I love pillows.  The other day, I talked mom into giving me a pillow in my crib.  Today, I brought one out to lay on.  McKenzie brought out a blanket earlier to put over her pillows, so, I wanted my blanket to put over my pillow.
I had fun laying on my pillow and blanket while I waited for McKenzie to wake up from her nap.  She decided to play around in her bedroom before she fell asleep, so, I woke up before her.
Scout you are laying on my blanket and I need you to get off.  I tell him to "move" but he usually doesn't understand me.
A sweet pose for the camera!
How is a girl to get some rest on her pillow with all these pictures being taken.
Sweet McKenzie fell asleep on her princess pillow and looked like a sweet little angel.  I couldn't resist to take a picture of her.  When she is a sleep this girl sleeps like a rock!

Another fun family day, but this time in Lassen National Park!

July 12, 2014
This morning we headed up to Lassen National Park to go on a hike!  Here was the view of Mt. Lassen from the parking lot!
Mom brought a hiking snack to help us along while we hiked.  I was excited about my granola bar.
I was super excited because mom made me some trail mix that had M&M's in it!
I got in my sweet ride and we are ready to head out on the trail!
We stopped by the sign that told us about the trial we were going to go on.  I ran to it and stood in front of it for my picture.  Today, we are headed to Paradise Meadow.  It is a hike that we have never done before and I should be able to handle it!
I was excited to go over the log foot bridge!
I met up with Daddy and Makayla on the log bridge!
There was a creek that was cascading down as we hiked by.  We took a spur to go and check it out!
Daddy went down to get some water to put on his head to cool him down.  I thought it was so fun that I wanted to to get some water on my hair.  It was actually a nice day up in Lassen with the temperature around 80 degrees.
Here is a picture of the cascading water!  It was sure a pretty hike!
We hiked a little bit further and found this waterfall along the trail!
After hiking upward on the trail for awhile, we made it to the meadow.  Daddy and Makayla went to see if there were any fish in the creek that Daddy could try to fish for.
This is paradise meadow!
I went out to stand in the grass in the meadow.
At the meadow we stopped to have a little lunch.  We found a nice log to sit on and mom gave us some cooked carrots to eat!
I wanted to love on my sister while she tried to eat her carrots.
A sweet picture of the two of us eating our lunch on the log.
We had some salami and cheese to go with our carrots!
After lunch, I went back out into the meadow to play for a little bit.
We had fun climbing and playing on the fallen logs!
I got myself up on the log and pretend to ride the log!
I found Daddy and he caught me and picked me up!
The logs were sure fun to play on!
I had a fun hike and got a little dirty in the process!
After our hike, we drove to King's Creek, so that, Daddy could do a little fishing before we headed home.
Mommy gave me my trail mix to entertain me while we waited for Daddy.  We also got out of the car and went down and found him and played in the dirt some more and watched him catch a couple of fish.  We sure had a fun family day up in Lassen!

We love to be twinners

July 8, 2014
I got this cute outfit for my birthday from Aunt Helen.  I love the twirly skirt that would twirl out as I went in circles!
Aunt Helen also sent one for Makayla, so that, we could be twins.  I love to match my sister.  Mom picks out an outfit that I know my sister has a match to and I ask if she can wear hers that looks like mine!
We were excited to have our picture taken together in our cute matching outfits!
I love to do "so big" by putting in arms in the air.  Of course, I wanted to get as tall as possible, so, I stood up on my chair!  Mommy is no fun and makes me get down.  How is a girl supposed to be "so big" when she can't stand on a chair.

A fun family day up in Mt. Shasta!

July 5, 2014
The first Saturday of the month in the summer there is a kids fishing day at the Mt. Shasta fish hatchery.  Daddy and I went last month with Allie and her Dad and brothers.  We had so much fun that we talked Mommy and Makayla into joining us this month!
Daddy helped me cast my worm out far into the pond, so, we could find a big fish to hook on my line.
I wasn't too sure about what was going on, so, I watched with great intensity.
I found some fishing poles and thought that I should get to fish too!
See out there.  I could catch a fish!  Mom and Dad told me next year I could try my hand at fishing!
I hooked a big one and Daddy helped me to reel it in!
We got him in and into the net!  It was a nice sized rainbow fish!  We had to get the hook out of its mouth!
Here is the first fish I caught!  The guy helping us was quite impressed I was able to bring him in with my little princess rod!
This fish was about half of my size!  It will make a good fishing story!
We put him on the stringer to carry him home on while I caught my other fish!
Makayla and I hung out while daddy got the fish strung and got my rod all set up for the next fish!
We tossed my line out a couple of times and reeled it back in trying to get a bite!  After a couple of times, we got a bite and we reeled in my second fish!
My second fish was quite a bit smaller.  We ran into the Femester's while we were up there.  Connor came over to help Daddy get the fish off the hook!
Here are I am with my two fish.  A big one and a little one!
We wanted to see the fish all strung up, so, Daddy lifted them up for us to see!
Makayla was pretty excited by the fish that I caught!
I decided to be brave and to touch the fish, but when it flopped around before I touched it I wasn't so sure about touching them.
We tried to see if we could get Makayla to touch the fish, but she wanted no part in that!
I decided that I would be brave and show Makayla that it was okay to touch the fish and it wasn't scary.   I sure had fun fishing today and can't wait until the next fishing day.  We took these fish and put them on ice in the cooler, so that, we would be able to eat them!
Since we were up in Mt. Shasta, we went for a hike to see a waterfall.  I got to go for a ride in my backpack!
Here we are about to enter the Mt. Shasta Wilderness!
I found a little log to sit on to have a water break as we climbed up to the waterfall over view!
We stopped to get a picture in front of the mountain and some nice people were coming down and offered to take a picture of all of us in front of  Mt. Shasta!
It was such a beautiful day up there and we got some nice views of Mt. Shasta!
Here is the waterfall that we hiked to or at least hiked to the vista point.  It was still quite a ways away, but  it was fun to see and get out and hike!
I had fun viewing the water fall with Daddy!
I was happy to get out of the backpack for a little bit while we stopped to enjoy the view!  A little snuggle with Daddy before I got down and walked around.
I found a nice rock to sit on that I could enjoy the view from.  Look "dog dog" at the waterfall.  I wanted to share the view with my pacifier.
It was nice to be able to get out of my backpack.  I love to sit on rocks!  They make great chairs!
Kenzie came to sit by me and we sure had fun together!
A sweet picture of us two sisters.  We really do love each other!
Back into the backpack for the trip back to the car!  Lets go Daddy!
I had a great time hiking back to the car!  We sang hiking songs as we went.  My favorite was the ants go marching, but I also maybe up some fun ones of my own.
There was a National Forest Wilderness sign and I wanted to take a picture by it!
I gave some mom some silly faces as I posed!
We had a fun time fishing and hiking today!  It was so nice to head up to Mt. Shasta today where it was cooler!  We love to get outdoors!
