Going for a walk

It is such a beautiful day here that we are going to take our new double stroller out for a test drive.  We are all ready to go. 

I am ready to.  It is the sweet life to be able to kick back and relax.

 

 All snuggled up in my car seat with a cozy blanket.  I think I slept for most of the walk so I don't really remember it.

Halloween

Today I got my first sponge bath at home and I loved every minute of it.

I cried while I got my clothes taken off and all the way to the bathtub, but as soon as I was put in the tub I stopped.  I enjoyed every minute of it.  Bath time is my favorite time.

Since it was Halloween, I had to wear my cute pumpkin shirt and my pumpkin hat.



I needed to rest up for the festivities later in the evening.

Mommy and Grammy made scary taco salad eyes for dinner.  My favorite part were the olives.

When it got dark, we put my carved pumpkin out front and lit the candle inside.  I was pretty excited to see it all lit up.

Then I got dressed up in my Pebbles costume to hand out the Halloween candy.  Wow!  That is a heavy basket of candy.  Good thing we get a lot of trick-or-treaters at our house to give it to.

The bowl started to get really heavy.  Don't worry it didn't spill.

 I would watch out the window for people coming up, then I would help hand out candy.  Well most of the time.  Sometimes there would be people with scary masks I didn't like.

Carving Pumpkins

Nothing like a good nap on the floor.  I made the nap seem so nice that daddy decided to join me.



Since it is the day before Halloween, I guess it is time to carve my pumpkin.

Here is a video while we wainted for Daddy to cut open the pumpkin.  This is what I think is in a pumpkin.  

Looking inside a pumpkin for the first time.  Mommy had me guess what would be in the inside of a pumpkin before i opened it.  I thought there would be an egg inside.



No egg inside, but I dove right in to get the seeds and goop out.

This pumpkin carving thing is surre fun!

For some reason I wasn't to interested in carving my pumpkin.  In fact I think it got cooked up and people ate it.  Maybe next year, but here I am by my pumpkin for this year.

 While Granpy scooped the stuff out of the pumpkin, I picked the seeds out of it and put them in the bowl, so that we could roast them. 

 Grammy came and help me get all the seeds.  I had fun getting my hands messy.

Daddy carved the face on the pumpkin.  I told him that I wanted circles for the eyes, a triangle nose, and teeth in the mouth.  I think he did a pretty good job.  Here I am with Grammy and Granpy with the finish product!

the pink bridge

 It was a beautiful day here in Redding today, so we decided to go on a picnic dinner and see the Sundial Bridge all lit up with pink lights.  I am so excited to be going on my first picnic. 

Here we are enjoying our chicken by the river. 

 I love a good picnic.  I am eating my dinner between Granpy and Daddy.  I keep looking to see when the bridge with turn pink.  Daddy keeps watching the river for fish! 

 I kept looking and looking, but the bridge never turned pink.  It was supposed to be pink for all of October in honor of think pink month, but I guess they decided to only have it pink for one week.  Needless to say it wasn't pink just the plain old bridge. 



 I still had fun running over the bridge.  It got some energy out and it was fun to have a picnic. 

 There was a big moon out that night and I like the moon, so Granpy and I are checking it out. 

 They still had the fountain lit up pink, so we decided to walk over and look at them since we didn't get to see the pink bridge.  I was pretty excited about the pink fountain.   

Here I am walking back to the car with Daddy, Grammy, and Granpy.  Makayla was in the stroller with mom, but I am sure she enjoyed the pink fountain.

I really wanted to be able to hold my baby sister, unfortunately, I ended up getting a little cold the day that she came home from the hospital.  After washing my hands and not putting them in my mouth, I got to hold Makayla

She is sure sweet.  I enjoyed every minute I got to hold her.

I am a very caring big sister and wanted to make sure everything was okay with Makayla.

 Just hanging out with my monkey.  It is really a jungle around here between the elephants on my outfit and my monkey!

I like to go to sleep while I am eating, so my mom gets me naked to wake me up and keep me eating.  This is what I think of her making me naked. 

Ha Ha!  I'll show mommy, I can still sleep with my cloths off!  Look at how little I am. 

A nice snuggle with daddy while we wait to be released from the hospital.  They said we should be out between 10 and 12, but we didn't get out until 3:30.  I think mommy was really starting to get cabin fever.



From day one I was able to hold my pacifier in my mouth.

Yeah!  We are finally going home!  I can't wait to see where I will be living!  Already to go for my first car ride.



My sister was excited that I came home.  She wanted to introduce me to all my stuffed animals.  Lucky thing Granpy was there to keep them clear of my face. 



It is sure nice to be home.  I think I am going to like it here.  

I snuggled myself in for a good nap with Grammy.  She was willing to snuggle with me while mommy and daddy got much needed sleep. 

Meeting my new sister

Here's looking at you.  I am not sure if I want to wake up or not! 

 Yep!  Defiantly want to sleep.  Now that's the ticket.  I could sleep all day!  Oh wait I do!

 Daddy went home to shower, get ready, and pick up my sister from her friends house, so Mommy and ,I were left to hang out for awhile.  I guess Mommy thought it would be a good time for a photo shoot!  Funny I don't remember this happening. 

 If you look at my hand you will see the blister that I sucked there.  I must have sucked so hard and long on my hang while in the womb I caused a blister to form on my hand.  I guess what else do you have to do in there.

 My sister went to the store with daddy to get me a birthday present!  She got me this monkey.  It was sure sweet of her to get me a present! 

 I had a lot of fun meeting my sister for the first time.  I just knew that she was going to be a girl.  Every time somebody asked me if she would be a girl or a boy I would say a girl.  I sure do love her!

 I got her filled in on everything that she needs to know.  I hope I didn't overwhelm her.

 Now I wanted to see her with daddy.  I sure was quite exciting to meet Makayla.  I can't wait until she gets bigger and can play with me.  I really love her and want to hug her and kiss her all the time.  

 I am such a sweet big sister.  Her I am consoling Makayla while she gets changed.  There, there it will be okay.  

 She is all dressed and ready for the day.  Here I am holding her hand.  I really like to hold her hand.  For some reason though mom encourages me to hold her foot and not her hand.  

Oh that must be the reason.  Makayla really likes to put her hands in her mouth and suck on them and for some reason mom doesn't want my germs on her hands!

 A minute for daddy and Makayla to relax while mommy and me read books and played on the bed!  Nothing like holding a sweet sleeping newborn!

Here is one happy big sister.  I am really excited to be a big sister.
