Crazy hair

 It has been a long weekend of me being sick with the stomach flu.  I am feeling a little bit better today, but still not back to myself.  It really is no fun to be sick and this one was rough.  

 Mommy started to get cabin fever with being at the house and not getting out with McKenzie being sick.  So, she thought we would see, if I had enough hair to put up in a ponytail.  Look at that, only 4 months old and able to rock a ponytail.  

 Even Daddy was impressed and found the camera to take a picture of me in my new hair do.  I really hope we can get out of the house tomorrow!

This is how my hair looked after the rubber band came out of my hair.  It is a little crazy standing straight up all on its own.  

4 months

I am 4 months today!  I went to the doctor's today for my well baby check up and shots.  I came out with a clean bill of health and some band-aids on my legs.  I was 11 lbs 6 oz and 24 inches long.  I gained 1 1/2 lbs and 1 1/2 inches.   

 This is a very attractive look on my face.  I wasn't too excited to be sitting in my bumbo and helping with laundry.  I am getting better at sitting in my bumbo.  I get stronger and stronger everyday.  

 I love to talk and I want everybody to hear what I have to say, so I get a lot of force behind my voice.  I am actually quite entertaining and you can usually tell how I am feeling by the way I talk.  Who needs real words.  

 I also love to smile and giggle.  If you give me a smile I will smile back at you.  I love people and watching them.

 I have really come to love my toys.  Here is my lion that has so many fun things to do with it.  I usually have my toys in my mouth.  I have everything in my mouth.  

So far, I love being a baby.  It has been a good four months.  I am a very good baby and am usually very content.  I love my sister and watch her when every she is in the room.  I can't wait until I grow up and we can really play together.  

Hiking at Lake Shasta

Today, we headed up to Lake Shasta to go on a hike.  I am all bundled up hanging out while everybody else got to eat a picnic lunch!

Hey!  Don't forget about me over here.  I would like some food.  They keep telling me soon!

These are some of Mommy's favorite pictures of me.  I look so beautiful and sweet in them.  She may be biased though.

Since I am a big sister now, my parents are trying to get me to hike on my own.  I hiked all the way up to the top.  I am so strong!

All that hiking made me thirsty.  Good thing Daddy brought some water along for us to share!  Scout was thirsty too and thought that we should share the water with him.  Silly scout!

Daddy and I were resting.  You don't go as far or as quickly with me hiking, but I did a good job of hiking with my little legs!

I was hanging out on my princess pillow and Mommy put Makayla down to hang out with me.  It was the perfect time for a photo-op.  

We had made Chocolate chip cookies for daddy and I got one.  That makes a girl happy!

Planting a garden!

 It was a beautiful day here, so we headed outside to plant some seeds in our garden.  I got to go hang out in my chair and watch Mommy and McKenzie plant the seeds.  

 I got a little bored while Mommy was getting the soil ready and found a garden gnome and decided to try to plant him.  I wonder if me walking around in the garden helps get the dirt ready!

 I tried a bunch of different places to plant the garden gnome.  I found him a good home.  I wonder if he will grow bigger or more of him since I planted him.  Mommy sure hopes he doesn't grow more.   

 When the soil was all ready then the fun part came.  We got to plant the seeds.  Here I am putting a pea seed in the hole.  

 I had a lot of fun putting the seeds in the ground and than covering them up.  We planted a spring garden:  peas, lettuce, arugula, basil, and some other things.  

 Now they are all covered up and ready for us to water them.  Mommy likes the spring garden the most because it takes the littlest effort to produce some vegetables.  Now we just have to wait and see what will grow and we can harvest.    

After we planted our garden, we put dinner on the BBQ, since it was so nice.  Makayla was entertaining us all with her story!

Here we are happy to be outside on such a nice day, waiting for dinner to be ready!

3 1/2 month giraffe picture

  

It is time again for the giraffe to come out for my 3 1/2 month giraffe picture.  Mom had a hard time getting my hands down because all I wanted to do was suck on them. 

 There we go, she finally got them down.  I needed to tell her something and I couldn't do it with my hands in my mouth.

Makayla cracks us up while she sleeps.  She really likes to suck on things.  She doesn't care what it is.  In if she doesn't have anything she will pretend that she has a pacifier.  

Valentine's Day

 To celebrate Valentine's day, Mommy and I hosted a Valentine's Day tea party for three of my friends.  I was excited to help make some heart shaped brownies, which we got for dessert.  Mommy had me dressed up in my fancy dress that Aunt Helen made me and didn't want me to get brownie all over it, so we found one of Daddy's old shirts to help protect it.  

 My favorite part of helping, licking the spatula.  

 We had my little table and chairs all ready for the tea party.  I am excited for my friends to arrive.  

 We had a lot of fun drinking our tea and pouring it into our heart cups.  

 We even got heart straw to drink our tea with.  We had raspberry tea, since it was pink.  

 After we had some tea, we had some lunch.  Kelli's brother Sheldon decide to sit down in her chair and eat some lunch with us girls.

After we were done eating, we hung out and played a little bit.  It was sure a fun tea party.  I can't wait to have another one.

We wanted to go out and play on my swing set in our fancy dresses.  Here I am swinging with Shiloh.  

After the tea party, McKenzie took a nap and I hung out in the bumbo while mommy cleaned the kitchen up from the party.

A little Valentine's day smile.  

Daddy asked me what I wanted for Valentine's and I said, "cupcakes".  Daddy went out and got the supplies for us to make cupcakes.  Here we are making them together.  It was a lot of fun to bake with Daddy.  What a special treat.

After they were all ready, we frosted them and put sprinkles on them, which was my favorite part.  Then we went and sat at my little table to eat them.

They were yummy!  Thanks Daddy for cupcakes.  I loved them.
