St. Patrick's Day at Burney Falls

March 17, 2013
For St Patrick's day this year, we put on some green, put the corned beef in the crock pot, and went out to explore some waterfalls.  I got a nice comfy ride in the ergo for the hikes.  It is nice to be little and get carried.
We hiked down to Potem falls.  It was a falls that Mommy had never been to, but was in the 101 things to do in the Redding area.  Here I am with Aunt Helen at the bottom.  I hiked all the way down by myself.
Aunt Helen and I had a blast.  I got to hold her hand a lot of the way down.
Here I am with mommy and Grammy at the bottom of the falls.  I really liked the falls.  I would turn my head to try to see them anytime mommy would move.  It was probably the sound of the rushing water that intrigued me!
I found a fun big rock to sit on and rest up for the walk back up to the car.  It sure was fun to climb and sit on the rocks.
Daddy came to sit with me on the rock.  I think he needed a rest before heading up to the car!
After Potem falls, we headed to Burney Falls and had a picnic lunch.  It was another place in the 101 things to do in the Redding area.  Mommy, Daddy, and Grammy had already been, but it was new for Aunt Helen, Makayla, and me.  Plus it is so impressive of a waterfall, that it is worth seeing again.
Makayla got to hang out while we checked out the top of the falls.  She loves it in her stroller.

Here we are at the top of the Burney falls ready to head down on the trail to see it from the bottom.
This was my first ride with daddy in the Ergo.  I must say that I quite enjoyed my ride and time with him!
The path was nice and ride most of the way, so I had fun holding different people's hands.  When you can hold two hands it makes it easier to jump and swing.  One, two, three jump!
Here we are at the bottom of Burney Falls.  It sure was loud!
A very exciting photo of the whole family all looking and smiling at the camera.  It is always exciting to get a photo of all of us looking and smiling!!!!
After we got home, dinner was ready.  It wouldn't  be St. Patrick's day in our house with our Corned Beef and cabbage.  Daddy loves it and so do it.  Mommy thinks it is amazing that I will eat the stuff.  It was sure a fun St. Patrick's Day.

Picnic on the trail!

March 16, 2013
Grammy and Aunt Helen came to visit us while Granpy was in Phoenix, at spring training with the boys.  It was a beautiful day, so we decided to go try a walking path just outside of Redding.  We are off to explore a new path!
After awhile, I wanted to get out of the stroller and walk.  I am a good little walker.  All that walking sure makes me thirsty.
Since it was around lunch time when we went, we thought we would pack a picnic lunch.  We found a place to stop along the path to lay out a blanket and had some sandwiches.  It was a yummy picnic.
Makayla didn't get any lunch, but she did get to get out of the stroller and hang out with us.  She and Grammy had fun.
I love to be outside.  It sure makes me smile.  If only I could get some lunch next time.
I went to sit on mommy's lap to eat my Cheetos. I sure do love Cheetos and all the orange messiness that comes with them.
Here is all of us girls sitting together.  That sure makes a full lap for Mommy!

Friends at the park!

March 11, 2013
Today we went to the park with my friend David.  It is so fun to have a friend to play with at the park.  Here we go skipping off to play.
We were so excited that we were there together that we grabbed each others hand and ran off to play.  So much for our mommies and sisters.
After awhile, we got tired from all the playing and went to hangout on the bench.  We had a lot of catching up.
Then David wanted to show me his belly button.  That was sure interesting.  What 2 1/2 year olds find interesting.
Sometimes after McKenzie goes down for a nap, I get a little one on one time with mommy.  I sure like my time with her.  I like to tell her about everything I know anything about.  I also like to laugh and giggle

I really don't like my hand away from my mouth for too long.  They are so yummy!

Happy Birthday Scout!

March 9, 2013
Today, we celebrated Scout's birthday or the day that he came into our family.  Scout turned 6 this year.  He is getting so old.  I thought that Scout should have a cupcake for his birthday, but mommy and daddy thought differently.  I settled for getting him some presents, which he got to open, and taking him on a walk.
Scout loves to open presents.  I am not sure who like to open presents more, me or Scout.  He got some dog treats and a special yummy bone.  This is the bone that he is opening.
The main reason that we celebrated Scout's birthday was because he got sick on his dog bed and needed a new one.  It happened to be close to the day he was adopted, so, we through him a party.  Here is the new dog bed that we got him.  I thought I would try it out and see if it would work.
It is a very comfortable dog bed.  I think Scout it going to like it.
Makayla wanted to try out the dog bed too.  She thought it was a fun place to lay around on.
When she lays on it there is a lot of extra room.  She must be smaller than Scout.  The dog bed sure does bring out some good smiles.
Mommy thought that is would be a good time to get a cute picture of the both of us.  It is a lot harder than mom ever realized to get a picture of the both of us.  Not to bad with both of us looking.
The elusive photo.  Both of us looking and smiling at the same time.  You really can't deny that we are related.  So cute!
After we got done trying out Scout dog bed, he actually got to try it out.  I think he really likes it and he was excited to have day set for him.

Rolling over!

March 5, 2013
Today mom got the camera out, because, I was getting myself up on my arms really well.  To her surprise, I even rolled over for her.  Here I am getting into position to roll myself over.
I am thinking about it.  Now how do I get myself onto my back?
Hey wait a second how did that happen.  Mom thought that might have been an accident at first, so, she put me back on my belly and turned the video on to see if I would do it again.  Much to her surprise I did it again and she got it on video.  Mommy called daddy to tell him and he wanted to know why I didn't wait 45 minutes until he got home.  Of course they tried to get me to do it that night for daddy but I wouldn't do it.  A couple of days later I finally rolled over for him, so now he believes that I am capable of rolling over.
Here I am rolling over!
