Paulina natural water slide!

July 16, 2015
Aunt Sarah heard of a place that had a natural water slide that you can go down.  We packed into the cars and headed to the Paulina natural water slide.  We are all ready to hike to the slide.  We thought it was only going to be 1/2 a mile, but when we got there somebody told us is was a 1 1/2.  We thought we would still take it on!
We made it to the slide and I am deciding if I want to do it.  I have become such a brave girl and up for trying all types of new adventures!
I really wanted to go down.  Mom asked me over and over again and I kept saying yes.  Mom wasn't so keen on getting into the cold water and going down, but she didn't want to send me down by myself.  Lucky for me my (favorite) Aunt Sarah took me down!
Grammy was up above taking pictures of us going down the slide.  Here are the pictures of me and Aunt Sarah going down the slide!
Half way down!
We made it to the pool at the bottom.  I had a lot of fun, but told mom I didn't want to go down again, because, it was too cold!  Thanks again Aunt Sarah you are the greatest!
We headed back up to the trail and caught up with Grammy, Aunt Helen, and Makayla!  We had a fun 3 mile hike and slide in the river!
After we woke up from our naps, we took our bikes out to ride around!
I had a lot of fun on my balance bike!
Mom got a lot of cute pictures of me and had a hard time deciding which one to put in, so, she added them all!
I love my new bike!  I can ride and ride and ride it and it seems like never I never get tired!
Look at how happy I am to be out riding my bike!
This evening, we had a little birthday party for Micah, since, his birthday is in a couple of days!  We had fun watching him open his presents!
We all gathered around to play one of the games that he got!
He had a dinosaur party in sunriver.  We all got a dinosaur mask to wear!  Aren't we the cutest dinosaurs you have ever seen!
That is one ferocious dinosaur.  I am scared!
Here I am with the birthday boy!
We sang happy birthday to Micah!
Tyler and I sure enjoyed our cake together!
Yummy cake!  I got it from head to toe!
Pour Uncle Jeff tried to get Makayla to give him a hug, but she wasn't so sure about it.  Good thing I was more than happy to give him a hug to make him feel better about Makayla!
I even had him ready me a bed time story!  Jonah came over to hear the story with us!

Obsidian flow

July 15, 2015
Today's adventure took us to the Obsidian flow.  I had fun walking up all the step to get to the obsidian flow.  It was nice to have help from Grammy and Granpy!
I went ahead with my big cousins while mom waited for Makayla.  Aunt Sarah and I peeked down at her as she climb up the stairs!
We thought we would get a picture of us, well most of us Aunt Helen took the picture and Dad was at work.
Look at how strong I am by lifting this huge volcanic rock!
I found an obsidian chair to sit in.  There was so much smooth shinny black rocks everywhere.
Makayla wanted to sit down on my obsidian chair, but she was strapped to mom's back, so, mom got down with her and joined our picture!
We thought we would try for another group photo!
We wanted to get Aunt Helen with all the kids, since, she was taking the group photo.  The only problem was Makayla was in the backpack, so, mom had to join the photo with us!
We made it to the top!  Here are all the gran kids in order of their age.  Jonah 9, Ezekiel 7, Sydney 7, Tyler 5, McKenzie 5, Micah 4, Wyatt 4, and Makayla 2.
One with us gran kids with Grammy and Granpy shielding our eyes from the sun!
I wanted my picture taken with the mountain in the background.
Aunt Helen and I siting on the obsidian!
Grammy came along and we had her join in the picture!
Here I am with Grammy and Granpy.  We had a lot of fun walking through the obsidian flow.  I was quite fascinated by how the rocks became that way and asked a lot of questions.  Mom told me to ask Uncle Jeff.  He explained it to me and after his explanation Makayla piped up "what is a molecule".
After we got back, we headed to the pool to do a little swimming!
We had fun swimming with Aunt Helen again!
It was fun to show her how I can swim some on my own.  I have come along way in the last two years since we were here.  At that time, I wouldn't even put my head in the water!
It was kind of cold this week while we were there, so, we got out to warm up a bit in the sun!
We had a blast laying out our towels to lay on.  I think we moved them more than we laid on them!
I am ready to soak in some sun and warm up!
We had a fun time at the pool today!
When we finished with the pool, we headed to the sledding hill to do a little summer sledding!  I was excited to get to sled this year, since, two years ago I was not old enough to go.  I had a blast sledding down in a train with Granpy and mom!  It was so much fun that I climbed right back up the hill and went down by myself the next time.
I had fun sitting up on the hill with Aunt Helen and Aunt Sarah watching all the sledders come down!

Lava Cave!

July 14, 2015
Aunt Helen put a request in for mom to bring her ice cream maker and make homemade ice cream.  I am sure if Aunt Helen didn't put in a request Uncle Jeff would have!  Mom had lots of good help making the ice cream.  Here we are putting the ice in the maker!
Sydney and I laid down on Aunt Sarah!  I hope we didn't squish her.
One of the things I was most excited about at Sunriver was I got to bring my new big frozen bike.  I worked hard getting ready for Sunriver, so, I would be able to ride on the paths.  This morning, we wanted to ride, so, we got on our bikes and rode around and around in front of the house!
I got to bring my balance bike and rode around in front of the house too.  For every one trip around the loop I made, McKenzie would ride about 7!  It was fun to get to ride my bike!
Granpy, Sydney, and I had a great time riding together!
We headed to the Lava Cave to go and explore the cave!  I am all ready with my dinosaur sweatshirt, Sydney's long pants, and my lantern.  It is cold and dark in there!
Sydney, Wyatt, and I are ready for an adventure.
As we went through the cave, we each had to have an adult to hold onto.  I choose Grammy!  We had a fun time together!
I chose mom or mom chose me.  I was happy to get packed through the lava tunnel and mom was happy to keep me close and not lose me in the dark tunnel.  I was very very quiet as we walked through the tunnel, so, mom was not sure what I really thought of it, but I said I had fun!
A picture of a group of us along the way.
It was sure cold in the tunnel and I told mom, "next time we should bring my gloves."  Mom thought it was a good idea!
When we found our way out of the lava tunnel we found a picnic table for lunch and to warm up!
Granpy and I had a great time eating together!
I got a Cheeto and I am pretty thrilled about it!  It was sure a fun adventure we had this morning!
That afternoon, we took naps while the rest of my cousins went to the pool.  When we woke up we played a little "spot it" with Grammy
I had to put this in because Makayla's facial expression is priceless!
Mommy told us that for a special activity, since we took naps, when dad got to the house after work we would all go out on a family bike ride.  I really wanted to try the tagalong that they had at the house, so, daddy and I went on a ride together.  Mom pulled Makayla in the bike stroller and we had a great family ride!
Mom wanted to get a picture of Dad and I on the bike when we got back to the house, so, we took a lap around.
Well, we ended up taking a couple of laps around, so, mom could get her pictures!  I was more than happy to get a couple of extra laps in!
It was sure a fun way to spend the evening.
When we got back it was time to enjoy our homemade ice cream!
I think Daddy wanted to try a bite of our ice cream, but we sure weren't going to share!
I love ice cream!
