Brooke's birthday party and The Lion King play!

January 23, 2016
We are going to have one fun, but very busy day!  This morning I went to basketball, as soon as, basketball was over we headed to my friend Brooke's house for her 6th birthday party.  She had a super cute pancake and pajama party!
I was so excited to get to wear the frozen pajamas that Aunt Helen got me for Christmas.  They were perfect for a party like this!  As we sat at the table decorated like a bed (get it breakfast in bed) we had fun coloring!
There were so many yummy topping choices for our pancakes.  I loved all the different types of fruit they had to put on the pancakes.
It was a lot of fun to get to sit by Brooke and eat our pancakes!
They had a little "bed" set up on the floor for us young ones.
I had fun laying and laughing on the floor.
Check out this pancake with all the whipping cream on top!  It is going to be so good.
We got to sing Happy Birthday to Brooke before we all dug in.
I ate all my fruit toppings before I got my pancake, but I sure enjoyed my pancake with whipping cream!
I was really excited to get to wear my Elsa pajamas that I got for Christmas from Aunt Helen!  So cute!
The little girls table was sure a fun place to be!
While mom took pictures, Sara helped me out and cut up my pancake.
This is so good!
After our pancake breakfast, we played some games!  The first game we played was a spatula pancake relay!
Brooke and I are ready to go and help our team win!
Look at that concentration!  The tongue out like this helps you go faster!
Ella and I got to race each other down the hall.
We did really well and didn't even drop the pancake.
If this party wasn't already an amazing party it got even better when we got to make our own bears!
We were given bears and then there was a bunch of stuffing to stuff our bear with and make them nice and cuddly!
I got handful after handful of stuffing to fill my bear.
I really liked using the pencil to help get the stuffing into the arms and legs.
I finished my bear and we got to name them and give them a name tag.  I named my bear Lovey.
I love my bear already!  I named my bear Minnie!
Here we are all of us that were at the party with the bears that we made.
After making bears we watched Brooke open presents.  We kept crowding in more and more as she kept opening presents.  I am not sure how Makayla made it up onto the arm of the chair where Brooke was sitting.  We had a great time and Brooke's party was so cute and fun.  It was such a fun idea for a birthday party!
After the party we headed home and had a little lunch, got dressed and headed to this year Redding School of the Arts play.  This is the third year that I have gone to see a play.  The last couple of years it has been a mother daughter date, but this year we thought we would take Daddy and Makayla with us.
I was excited to get to go to the play this year!  Mom and Dad thought they would see if I was old enough to be able to sit through a play.  I did a good job.  There was a little bit in the middle of the play they didn't think that I would make it, but I hung in there and had a good time.
This years play was the Lion King!  Those kids did a great job, just like they do every year.  It was fun to be able to go to the play as a family!  After that we headed home, had dinner, and went to bed since we were tired from a long day!

Sledding on MLK

January 18, 2016
Since Dad had the day off to for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we thought we would head up to Mt. Shasta for a day in the snow.  We headed up to snowman's hill to see what the sledding was like.  I am getting a ride up to find a good spot to sled down.
What am I missing?
We thought we would try our first ride down together.  Okay Daddy, send us down to mom!
It started out pretty fun.
Then we hit a bump and took a little turn off course.
We went tumbling out.
I thought I would keep trying to sled some more on my bottom after we crashed.
I on the other hand was not so thrilled with crashing and needed some time to get over the tears.
I thought I would try out the disc sled and see how it went.
I needed a little time to sit and take it all in.  The sledding wasn't the greatest today.  There were a lot of bumps and holes in the snow today from where people had been walking, plus it had been warmer the last couple of day, which made sledding and staying on course difficult.
I thought I would try to go down with Dad,  We did some runs and then it really started to rain, so, we thought we would pack it up and try to go ice skating.  Unfortunately, we found out that the ice rink isn't covered, so, ice skating didn't pan out with the rain.  We headed to lunch and home.  The day wasn't exactly what we had planned, but it was still fun to get to spend the day as a family.

Some hard core fans!

January 13, 2016
When we woke up from our naps today, mom thought it would be a perfect time to get a bath in before Dad got home from work and while she finished up dinner.  It was quite the entertaining bath today.  We thought we would do a little singing and what better to sing in the tub than the chorus of Rocky Top!  Go Tennessee's as we like to say.  If that wasn't entertaining enough then we started checking out each others uvula's (you know the hanging ball thingy at the back of your throat that for some reason we remember that it is called a uvula.)  To bad mom didn't get Makayla saying uvula on video because it is pretty cute coming out of three year old mouth.

The Bronco's are playing today and we are excited to catch a little bit of it with Dad!
It was nice to snuggle under his warm comfy bronco's blanket!

Basketball!

January 9, 2016
Today was my first day of Redding Basketball.  For my age the city of Redding doesn't do teams yet.  Every Saturday morning for six weeks we come for 45 minutes and work on different skills and then play a little game for the last 15 minutes.  I was sure excited to get to go today!  They had us all line up on the line to get started.
We did a little jogging and skipping to warm up!
Then we worked on our dribbling.  I might need some more practice!
After that we headed over to do some passing.  I wanted to make sure Mom and Dad were watching me!
 I liked the passing station.
The next station was defence.  They taught us to get those hands up and follow the ball.
I had a blast playing around and watching McKenzie!
At the end we tried to play a little game.
I found a ball and thought I would work on my dribbling,
 and shooting,
 and dunking!
I am excited to get to play basketball with some of my buddies.  It was fun to play with Collin, Noah, and Isaiah!
