Luau birthday party part II

May 28, 2017
This evening we are doing part two of our Moana Luau birthday party.  Whatever we didn't have time to get in yesterday we are doing today.
That includes trying this real coconut.  We have never had fresh coconut before, so, it was a must for our Moana party!
Of course we all wanted to try the coconut water.  Sara talked mom into drilling three whole into the coconut and giving us each a straw to drink out of to try the coconut water. Here we go trying the coconut water.
By the look on my face do you think I like the coconut water?
How about me?  Neither of us really liked the coconut water.  McKenzie especially did not like it.  I guess add coconut water to her list of dislikes with pickles.
Allie liked it better than we did.
Elijah didn't want to miss out on trying the coconut water.
We headed outside to crack open the coconut and try the meat inside.
I hope the coconut flesh taste better than the water.
It looks and smells yummy. Now we just have to figure out how to get it out of its shell.
Sara got some free for us to try.
We were big fans of the coconut flesh!  We ate a bunch of the coconut!!!!
This is sure yummy!
Allie liked it too!
Yesterday we didn't have enough time to make molten lava cakes for dessert, so, we made sure that we had time today!  There is our molten lava cake surrounded by the ocean with the heart of Te Fiti allowing the green to come back to the islands and for the lava to stop.  Okay so mom tried.  The idea was better then how it ended up looking.  I guess you can't win every time!
We were happy with it.  Who is going to complain about molten lava cake, ice cream, and whipping cream!
We sang happy birthday again and blew out another candle!
Then after wards we opened some presents!
Collin and Sienna sent this along for me!  It looks so fun!  I am excited to make new things with it!  I love to craft!
Allie is opening the present that we got for her!
Part of my present from Allie was a fun ring game that you try to get the rings in the water on the pole.
We had another fun evening of birthday celebration!  It was so great to celebrate my birthday with one of my birthday buddies and my good friend Allie!  We have such an amazing time and friendship.  I sure have missed her this year.
We had one more gift that Sara found for us all!  I wonder what it could be?
Makayla was the first to figure out what it was!  She was super excited about our matching captain America dresses!  Tune in and we will show them to you!

A dip at Cline Falls state park.

May 28, 2017
It was a warm day here in Redmond, so, we thought we would head out to Cline Falls state park and play/float down the
Deschutes river.
We didn't float down the river, but we did have our tubes to play around with in the water.
I am ready to get in and tube around.  I hope I don't get hungry from tubing around on a donut.  Luckily we had a picnic lunch before we got into the water.
I think the water was colder than I was expecting.
Allie is ready to get in and brave the cold.
She did it!!!
I am extra safe with my life vest and my floating ring.
Here I go getting into the cold water.
Ahhhh!  The water is so cold, but so fun!
Allie and I had a great time hanging out and playing around in the river together.

I had a great time with my floaty.
Daddy braved getting out in the river to wade around.
Glad Dad was here to hold my hand, so, I didn't float down the river!!!!
This is sure relaxing!
Elijah and McKenzie headed out to make sure that I stayed safe.  We had fun at Cline Falls cooling off today!

A Moana Luau Birthday party

May 27, 2017
Both Allie and I had mentioned wanting a Moana themed birthday party, so, it was settled that our joint birthday party would be a Moana Luau Birthday Bash!
To make it a fun Moana Luau party we all got bags with fun luau dresses up and some other things in it to get the party started.  Look at us taking to the hula dance in our Hawaiian dresses, grass skirts leis, and flowers in our ears.  We are ready to head to Hawaii or at least attend a Moana birthday party!
I wanted to look just like Moana and have a flower crown like she wore.
Princess Makayla of the Hawaiian islands.  Sara was great and helped me figure out how to make my lei into a crown and then put it on me over and over again every time it came off!  We finally got it to stay!!!!!
Sara decorated the dinning room to make it a festive luau!  It isn't a party without some decorations!
The festive Moana kid's table!!!!
I was excited to get this party started, so, I was inside to join the pictures while the other girls were outside playing!  We are almost ready for our luau feast!
We can't wait to eat our luau feast.  No it isn't a true Luau feast mom didn't bury a whole pig out back.  That would have been crazy.
Isaac and Elijah are all ready to eat with their festive little umbrellas!  Always willing to join in the fun!
We had made homemade ice cream earlier in the day and turned it into ocean beach cups for dessert!
We thought that they needed a couple of umbrellas for the beach!!!!
Our beaches came with a birthday candle!
Mom had to redo my headband to get the hair out of my face for the pictures!
The candles were lit and we sang happy birthday to Allie and I!
I hope I can blow out that one candle!
Allie blew out her candle and is ready to enjoy her beach ice cream!  We will have to continue our luau birthday party tomorrow because we didn't get everything in before it was time for bed.  We sure had fun at the first half of the Moana Luau!

The Zalesny's came to visit

May 27, 2017
We were so excited that the Zalesny's came to visit us this weekend.  How we have missed this little one!  Allie made her strawberry look like lips.  We headed up to Smith Rock this morning, but the parking lot was full, so we headed back to Redmond to have a picnic lunch at Hope park and play on the playground.
The zipline was a must.  Isaac and Elijah are always so kind and willing to help us out!  They held the zipline still so I could stand up on it.!
The big boys even had fun swinging on it.  Go Isaac!
Go Elijah!
I am pretty excited that I am finally figured out how to swing on the zipline while standing up!
It is so exciting and fun to go this way!
Allie was a fan of the zipline too!
I can get going and stand up on the zipline with out any help!  I am getting so big!
Then we went to the other line and did the zipline in the chair.  Thanks boys for pushing us.  We had a great time playing and showing them Hope park!!!!  I think they enjoyed the park!
It was a warm day here so we wanted to play in the water to cool off!  We got a slip n slide to replace the one from last year and had fun sliding down it while our party was being set up.
I decided to run down it instead of slide down it.  I guess all that matters is being cooled off!!!!
