A hose full of fun

May 10, 2017
Today Dad headed into work to do some training for areal flight spotting.  He was being trained on how to spot smoke from up in the air and mark it.  They also were seeing how he handles little planes.
Here are some pictures that he took while up flying
It was a nice day here in Redmond, so, when McKenzie came home from school we got out the water toys to help us cool off!  I was being very helpful and watered the strawberries!
I have this water squirter all figured out.  If you point it straight up then some of the water coming down will get me and cool me off.
I thought I would see if it works for me.
I thought I would water the plants too.
Makayla got a hold of the hose and is trying to chase me.
Now it is my turn to get her!
I think that she likes it!
Wait where are you going?
Man this hose is hard to move around.
The water is so cold and refreshing at the same time.
McKenzie made it so I could run through the hose arch.
There is a happy childhood!  Drinking straight out of the hose.
The water taste so good!
We thought we would climb on the fire hydrant in front of our house.
McKenzie's turn sitting on the fire hydrant.
We sure had fun playing in the water and cooling off!

Pinwheels

May 7, 2017
The other day when we were looking for a sprinkler we found our giant pinwheels in an outdoor box that never got unpacked.
We quickly took them out when we found them and went right to play with them.  Today Dad took me out back and we decided where a good place to put them in the ground would be.
After McKenzie put hers in, it was time to put my pinwheel in the ground.  Daddy and I worked together, so it will stay put.
Success!  We have marked the backyard as ours!
Now we can watch the pinwheels spin and spin and spin!

Tea and a movie night

May 6, 2017
Dad went out Kokanee fishing with a friend from work today, so, we thought we would have a girls day.  Well, first we had our soccer games and then mom surprised us by taking us out to tea for lunch.  We headed to the tea shop they have here in downtown Redmond.
We got our tea before they brought out our lunch.  The tea was sure yummy.
I can't wait to try mine.  We asked for ice cubes to put in the tea to cool it down.  It was fun to use the little tongs to pick up the ice.
Nothing like sipping some tea on a chilly day.
I drank my cup and then wanted some more!
Ever since we came here last time and I saw some people having triangle sandwich, I have been talking about trying a triangle sandwich the next time we come.  They were sure yummy.  I really liked the dill egg salad sandwich.
I was a big fan of the triangle sandwiches too.  I gobbled them right up.
After our sandwiches, we had scones with preserves to go with our tea.  It wouldn't be a tea party without some scones.
We had a great time enjoying our high tea and girls day out.
Mom wasn't feeling the greatest this evening, so, she decided to take it easy and do popcorn and a movie.
We were excited to get to use our new bean bag chairs, that we got from Grandma and Grandpa, while we enjoyed the movie.
The pajamas that I picked tonight matched my bean bag chair perfectly.  You can't even tell where my top half is and what is bean bag chair!
We love it when we get popcorn for dinner!  Popcorn is one of our favorites!
McKenzie came over to photobomb my picture!!!!!
Comfy and cozy and ready for our movie to begin.
I wanted to photobomb one of McKenzie's pictures.  I am not sure we truly understand what photobombing is, but mom was okay with that because she ended up with some cute pictures of us together!

Pull, Peddle, paddle a-thon

May 5, 2017
Today at my school we had a pull, pedal, paddle a-thon to help raise money for some end of the year activities, like a field trip, graduation, field day and other things like that.  My class time worked out perfectly, since, it was during mom's lunch time.  She was able to seek over and make it back in time for her next patient and even get in some pictures.
The pull, peddle, paddle a-thon was a three part race course that we went through as many times as we could in 30 minutes.  The first part of the course was the paddle.  We got on these scooters and paddled ourselves around the cones.  We either paddled with a paddle, our feet, or our hands.
Her is a video of me paddling around.
The third part of the race was an obstacle course.  The first part was walking on this curvy balance beam.
It was hard to stay on, but I was able to do it.
Here is a video of me doing the rest of the obstacle course.
I made it back to the beginning and am paddling around with my hands.
The second part of the course was the peddle.  You could either peddle a tricycle or a seated scooter.  I chose the tricycle every time around.
Here I am peddling along the course.
Crawling through the rings again.
Ladder run.
I shot a basket.
Such concentration I had the whole time.
I weaved through the rings.
Jumped up and the back down from the mat.
Lucky thing I played basketball this year to help prepare me for the shooting part of the course.
My last time through.  I ended up making it around the obstacle course 4 times before the time was up.
When I was all done we went to sit in the hall and wait for everyone to join us.  I had a great time at my pull, peddle, paddle a-thon!
