Sunriver!

July 11, 2015
We are on our way, don't know when we will get there, but we are on our way!  While mom was finishing packing up the car to head to Sunriver, we got into our jeep and are ready to drive ourselves there.  Mom wasn't too sure that the jeep would make it out of Redding, let alone, Sunriver.  We ended up going in the car with mom!
We are excited to spend a week in Sunriver playing with cousins!  The day we got there was Grammy's birthday, so, we made her a birthday dessert and then helped her blow out her candles!
We got a picture with all of the grandkids with Grammy and everybody looking!
Ezekiel, Grammy, and me sure enjoyed our chocolate truffle cake!
Happy Birthday Grammy!
After cake, we all got to help Grammy open her present!  She had lot of good helpers!

The next day, we got ready to head out on a hike.  Aunt Sarah and I had fun making grumpy faces together!
We were going to go hiking Tumalo Falls, but it happened to be closed for construction, so, we thought we would walk down a different trail for a little bit and eat our lunch by the creek.  We found a log to sit on!
We enjoyed out sandwiches with Aunt Sarah and Sydney!
It was sure a yummy lunch and always better when you eat outside!
We decided not to go further on the trail, because, the bridge didn't look that safe to cross over.  Even Daddy, who inspects bridges for his job, deemed this one not very safe!  This is as far as we were allowed to go.
Grammy and I found a perfect rock to sit on and finish our lunch!
It was like this little bench was set up just for me!
We stopped to check out the really big ant hill.  We were quite fascinated by it, since, we have never seen anything like it!
Daddy gave me a piggy back ride for a little bit!  It was sure a fun ride!
Sydney had fun riding on Granpy's shoulders!
Go fish was a huge hit by all of us and was played a lot.  Aunt Susan was great to help me play, since, I am still learning!
Uncle Jeff, Aunt Susan, Jonah, Ezekiel, and Micah took a cross country trip from Asheville, NC and we meet up with them in Sunriver.  We were excited to see them!  I got to read a BOB book to Uncle Jeff for my bedtime story!
Aunt Helen read Micah and me a bedtime story!
We gave hugs all around!  I gave Uncle Scott a nice snuggle!
Daddy caught Micah and gave him a hug! We had a fun day!

A week in Redding!

July 6-8, 2015
Dad signed us up for the summer reading program, since he is in Prineville, we haven't made it back to get our prizes for reading.  Today, mom decided to take us and return some books and get our prizes.  We made it out with some fun loot!  We each got to pick a book, I (McKenzie), got a Fancy Nancy book and Makayla picked an Olaf book.  We also got these fire hats, backpacks, magnifying glass, and certificates for a free pizza!  We were excited about all our prizes!
Today, we got to watch Gus and baby Tilly.  When Tilly woke up, we thought she might want to stretch out on a blanket.  Makayla was excited to let her use her moose blanket.  I had fun watching her.  She was sure fun to watch and talk to!
I got down to her level, so, we could converse!  It was fun to have Gus and Tilly over!
Tonight our church was doing a baptism out at the Whiskeytown group area, so, we thought we would go hang out and watch.  I had fun playing in the sand with Jayden and Sienna.
I had fun playing with Collin and Allie!  It was nice to have friends for all!
We all crowded in under the pop-up tents, since, it started to down power with thunder and lightening as they were going to start the baptisms.  We were happy to stay dry while watched the baptisms.  It was a fun evening at the lake, rain and all!

Happy 4th of July!

July 4, 2015
This morning we went to a Bar Mitzvah here in Redding.  We are in front of a church that Frank Llyod Wright was the architect for.
After our naps, we got dressed in our 4th of July clothes and got ready to go see the fireworks!
We headed to a field at Sequoia middle school to watch the fireworks.  We got there a little early to find a spot and to enjoy some traditional homemade ice cream!
Mom made s'mores ice cream this year.  It looks so yummy!
I had a great time eating my ice cream cone!
Allison and her family joined us for the ice cream eating fun!
I am not sure where more of the ice cream went, in my mouth or on my shirt!
Allie and I had a blast playing together while we waited for it to get dark!
We had some silly times!  It was so nice to catch up with friends!
How is this for festive!?!
We ran and ran and ran and had a great time.
Collin and his family joined us for the fun!
We had fun dancing and playing around while the sun set!
It was so nice to get to see Collin and get to play with him!  I sure miss my friends while we are way!
Here is the beautiful sunset that we saw tonight while we waited!

It is almost dark, which means, the show should start soon!  I had fun playing with dad!
The fireworks were sure pretty!
We had a wonderful 4th of July and were so thankful to get to enjoy it with friends!

Oregon State Logging Museum!

July 2, 2015
We all headed home to Redding today!  On the way home, we stopped by the Oregon State Logging Museum to check it out.  We found this bear chair that fit us both just perfectly!
We headed inside the museum and found another wooden bear to pose by!
There were a lot of exhibits to explore.  They take you from the beginning of logging in Oregon in the late 1800's all the way to present day.  These log cabins were like ones that people live in hundreds of years ago!
We really wanted to see into them to see what they were like on the inside.  This door was just the right size for me!
A little log chair to sit on outside the front door!
We had fun checking out all the cabins and looking in all the doors and windows that we were able to look in!
It was a pretty warm day out so we thought we would take a break on the log bench in the shade!
The beautiful scenery while we waited!
There was a lot of different machinary to look at and read about.  We asked a lot of questions and were very curious about how it all worked
We worked our way to more and more modern equipment until we reach present day.  We still have a little ways to go before we get to present day.
We thought we would take a break and go look at the river that ran through there.
Scouty really wanted to get to the river and get a drink.  It was a very pretty stretch of the river.
The pool at the bottom of the little rifle was a beautiful blue color.  Makayla loved the blue water, because, blue is her favorite color.  She wanted me to try to get a picture of it, but it didn't show up as well in the picture.
'It was a fun and educational stop on our way home!
