Blueberry picking

June 1, 2013
Blueberry season came early here in Redding this year.  Every year Mommy and I drive down to Corning and meet up with David and his family to u-pick blueberries.  I sure love blueberries and eat tons of them when we pick them  Plus we freeze some for the rest of the year.  I got my bucket and found a good blueberry to put in it.  I am not sure if more blueberries ended up in my belly or in my bucket.
Daddy and Grandpa went to the men's breakfast at our church that morning, so that meant it was just us girls picking blueberries.  Grandma helped me figure out which ones I should pick.

We had a lot of fun picking blueberries together!
Mommy tried to get a picture of David and I out blueberry picking this year.  We didn't really want to cooperate and smile for her.  We sure had fun picking blueberries though.  I can't wait until next year!
A little friendly hug for my blueberry picking buddy!
I was one little blueberry picking trooper.  I hung out on mommy's back while she picked blueberries.  Mommy said that she was glad I was a lite baby and easy to pack around.
Shiloh and her family came out to pick blueberries this year.  Another hug for my other blueberry picking friend!
Katelyn got to hang out in her blue backpack too.  Our parents wanted to get a picture of us and our first blueberry trip together.  I unfortunately was done and wanted out.  Next year, we will have even more fun, when we can get down and actually eat the blueberries.
I was excited because when I got home Daddy and Grandpa had put my scooter together and I got to try it out.  Here I go!  I am off to explore the house.
Grandpa and I got to catch each other up and what we had been doing that morning.
I took my scooter outside and had a blast riding it along the sidewalk in the backyard.  Watch out mom, I am coming to get you!
I wanted to come outside and watch McKenzie ride her scooter.  Grandma took me out, so that, I wouldn't miss out on anything!

Happy 3rd Birthday McKenzie Mae!

May 31, 2013
Today, I turned three!  All I wanted for my birthday was cupcakes, so, Mommy and I made some beautiful cupcakes.  I chose funfetti cupcakes that I turned purple.  For some reason, I really wanted blue frosting.  Mommy asked me what color I wanted weeks before and every time I told her "blue". Here are my colorful cupcakes.
I had fun decorating the cupcakes with sprinkles.  Now my cupcake are complete and even more colorful.  I can't wait to try one!
Before we had cupcakes, I opened presents.  I was ready to open them all up.  I am opening a Minnie mouse puzzle.  I can't wait to do it!
Uncle Scott, Aunt Sarah, Sydney, Tyler, and Wyatt sent me a super hero cape that I get to make myself and this really fun super hero mask.  I thought I was really scary when I had it on.  It was a huge hit!
I kept it on to open up the rest of my presents.  Mommy and Daddy got me a scooter to ride in the backyard!
I got a basketball hoop from Great Aunt Helen.  I was excited to see what was underneath the blanket.  I actually really wanted a basketball for my birthday!
There is so much excitement in opening presents.
I had Daddy put together my basketball hoop, so that, I could try it out.  The super hero mask helped my game!
I got excited when I would score a basket!  It was a lot of fun to play!
I was excited because Grandma and Grandpa came out to help me celebrate my birthday.  For my birthday, they got me a bunch of fun dress up clothes and accessories.  Here I am all dressed up as a princess with the scarf that Aunt Aubrey made me to wear!
Here I am making Makayla a princess.  After all, if I am a princess than my sister has to be a princess too!  I am sure we will have years of playing dress up together.
I introduce you to Princess Makayla!  The same tailors that made the Emperor his new clothes also made Makayla's.
Everybody got to dress up.  I gave Grandpa some pretty necklaces and lai to wear.  Thanks for all the dress up stuff.  It sure is fun!
I was trying on all the bracelets and came across some purple ones that were tied together.  I wanted one on each hand, but that posed a problem because my hands were stuck together!
I was super excited about the pair of heels.  I now have heels just like mommy does!  I put them right on and walked and ran all around the house.
Grandma and Grandpa found a clown costume that was daddy's when he was a boy and brought it for me to use as dress up.  Does this clown costume add some extra pounds?
After opening all the presents, it was time for my cupcakes.  I got three candles, since, I turned three!
Here I am blowing them out.  Daddy helped me blow them out, because, it is hard for me to do by myself!
Yeah!  We did it! I really wanted to take a candle out and lick the end that was in the frosting!
My favorite part, eating the cupcake!  Tasting the frosting to see if it is good!
I ate the frosting off the top and than ate the rest of the cupcake.  My mouth and tongue are all blue!
I had a lot of fun hanging out with Grandma.  I didn't get a cupcake, but hanging out with Grandma was even better!
Then Grandpa got a turn to hang out with me!  It was fun to see them again!
To end the night, we had some sparkling cider to celebrate me turning three!  I love to do cheers, so it was the perfect way to end the day!  So far life as a three year old it great!

Last day of being 2!

May 30, 2013
This is the last day I will ever be 2, so we needed to take some photos to remember it by!  I did my best at giving a really good smile.
I am very excited about turning three tomorrow.  It should be a happy birthday!
I love to get down and play with my sister.  She thinks the world of me.
A cute picture of the two of us.  See mom we get along!
I have a very surprised look on my face.  Not sure why, but definitely startled.
Mom really wanted a picture of the two of us, since, it was wear blue day at our house.  We had other plans than giving her a good picture.  Knowing her we will have wear blue day again and she will try again.

Bubbles and sun glasses!

May 28, 2013
I got a really fun bubble maker from one on my friends and I was excited to try it out.  It blew bubbles everywhere.  All you had to do was put the bubble solution in, then turn it on and it made the bubbles for you.
I wanted to catch the bubbles in the bottle, so that, I would have more bubble solution to put into the bubble maker.  I had so much fun trying to catch the bubbles in the bottle!
Here I am in action for the next couple of photos.  The bubble maker sure did entertain me for quite awhile
Mommy liked the bubble maker because it did all the work and she didn't have to get dizzy blowing all the bubble for me.  This way she could kick back on the lawn furniture with Granpy and Makayla, while Grammy took pictures!
Oh there is another one.  It took great concentration to get those bubbles!
That evening, I got to open more presents from Grammy and Granpy.  It was a great way to have a true birthday week!  Can I open them yet?
I got to have one treat from my pinata bag from my birthday.  I chose a dum dum sucker.  I was really excited about having a sucker!  I just opened some fun bath stuff from Grammy and Granpy.  There are crayons that I can color on the bathtub walls.  How fun is that!
I also go some panda sunglasses.  Of course I had to try them on!
Grammy and Granpy got Makayla a pair of sunglasses too.  She needed a pair because she didn't have any.  Now we just have to teach her not to take them off and eat them!  They are super cute!
I had fun having everybody try on my new sunglasses.  Here is daddy being a good sport and wearing the panda sunglasses.  Thanks for all the wonderful presents Grammy and Granpy and thanks for coming and helping make my princess party so fun!
