A final little buddies trip to Turtle Bay

Today we got together for one more little buddies trip to Turtle Bay.  Both Charis and I are moving away from Redding, so, we needed one more outing together.  We met up with Charis in the parking lot on our way into Turtle Bay.  Jackson, his mom, and brother joined us a little bit later.

We headed into the Rock Music exhibit and of course has to play on the big keyboard!

I did a session on the drums!

I headed up on stage to try out the big bongo drums!

Lucky thing I am so tall and can reach these drums.  It was sure a last fun outing with our friends!  We are so thankful for the friends that we made this year in BSF and are going to sure miss them.

Katelyn's birthday party

Today, we headed over to Katelyn's house to celebrate her 4th birthday!

She had a My Little Pony party where we got cutie marks and made rainbow bead bracelets.  

Katelyn really wanted to bob for apples during her birthday party, so, our party game was bobbing for apples.  Katelyn went first and worked hard to get that apple!

She ended up getting it out of the bowl!

It is my turn to try to get my apple!

I went in to try to bite the apple and it did not go so well.

I am in a I can't do anything phase right now and don't even really want to try, so, here is my reaction to bobbing for apples.

A little more determined that I couldn't do it.

They all talked me into trying again.

I told Sara a very sad story about how it was not possible and she offered to help me by holding the apple in place.  She is so kind.

I tired again.

In the end I sadly picked up the apple out of the water and than ate it.  I guess bobbing for apples is not for me.  Mom is okay with that since it is not the cleanest of games.  Don't worry Kathryn changed the water in the bowl and put in a new apple each time.

Happy Birthday Katelyn!  It was sure fun to celebrate with you!

Mom and Dad's 11th wedding anniverary!

Today is Mom and Dad's 11th wedding anniversary and we wanted to help them celebrate!

In the evening we headed out to Whiskeytown Lake for dinner and to do a little swimming in the lake.  Mom and Dad wanted to try to rent a paddle board and try it out, but there weren't any to rent this evening.  We still had a great time playing at the lake!

We jumped right into the lake to cool down when we got there!

We had a blast splashing and swimming around in the water together!

I was excited to get to hold on to Daddy's hand!

Nothing like floating in the lake on a warm evening!

While we were swimming mom cooked up some shish kabobs for dinner!

After dinner we headed back to the lake for some more swimming!

McKenzie was so sweet and held my hand as we walked out into the lake.

I wanted to try my snorkel out for a little bit.

It was sure a beautiful evening out at Whiskeytown.  We had a great time together as a family.
