Today is the last kids fishing day up at Mt. Shasta, so, we are getting ready to head up to fish. Mom french braided my hair into two french braids today, so, she wanted a pictures before it got messed up!
I wanted my picture taken with Belle!
I cast my line out and am now waiting to hook a fish.
I got one on my line and now I am reeling it in.
We got the fish netted and it was a pretty big one. It ended up being a rainbow trout.
There was a two fish limit today, so, I put my line out to try to get another one and ended up snagging one on its side. Daddy went to put Collin's fish on the chain, so, Lara came over to help me reel it in. She is actually fishes, so, she was a lot more helpful than mom. We ended up landing a brown trout this time that was smaller than my first.
After I caught my two fish, I wanted help out with the other fish. I tried to net the fish that Sienna had reeled in, but it ended up getting off before we got it into a net.
I found McKenzie's princess rod and wanted to give it a try.
Now how does this thing work? I told Mommy and Daddy that I wanted a fishing rod with Minnie Mouse on it. They said they would look into it for me for Christmas.
I had fun with the net, while, I waited for a fish to be caught.
Makayla and I had fun playing around together. I really like to pick her up right now.
Look at how strong I am and how far off the ground I can get my sister. Right now she is okay with me lifting her up, this isn't always the case.
I sat down to play for a little bit.
What a joyful face!
We got a picture of all of us kids with Daddy and the fish we caught.
Makayla wasn't so sure about the fish. Daddy asked if she wanted to touch it.
I decided to get brave enough to touch the fish.
Collin and I had a fun morning together.
The three fisher kids hanging out while we got ready to go and check out.
While Daddy got the fish off the chain and divided, I had fun hanging out with Mom and McKenzie.
We had a fun morning at the fish hatchery.
Some water was much needed after a warm morning of fishing.
I love to laugh and giggle!
On our way home, we stopped to pick some blackberries. I really wanted to help pick the blackberries, so, I was told to pick the black ones and the ones that were easy to reach, since, they have stickers on them that poke and scratch you.
I went to help Mom pick blackberries at first. She would pick and then I would eat them. She gave me her bowl to hold and I thought they were for me to eat.
I helped out by holding the container for Dad while he picked some blackberries.
I stood there until the whole container was empty and then went over to mom and handed her the container and said, "more, more, please, please!"
I ended up eating my weight in blackberries. I officially love berries!
Just look at that cute blackberry stained face!
I am sure glad we stopped to pick blackberries. I can't wait to head home and make a blackberry cobbler.
I had a fun day!
