Adventures at the park!

The night before mom asked McKenzie what she wanted to do tomorrow and she said, "go to the park".  I got to get into the stroller and hangout and watch McKenzie play.  I was pretty happy just to be along for the ride.  Before you know it I will be playing at the park!

The first thing I went to at the park was the bugs you can ride on.  Here I am hopping around on a grasshopper!

 And flying around on the lady bug.  I sure do love the bugs at this park!

 Then I went down the slide.  It was sure fun!

 I was so brave and adventurous today.  I am climbing up the ladder stairs all the way to the top.  I did everything on both the big and little playground today.  I went down the really big and tall slides.  I got up on the play equipment by every way.  They have a little rock climbing wall that you can climb up to get on and I was so proud I told Daddy when I got home and asked if he would take me rock climbing!

 I really wanted Makayla to ride it the ladybug with me.  She was more than happy to get out of the stroller and do some playing!

 Hey, wait a second how did I end up in her alone.  My sister quickly moved onto the grasshopper and left me behind.  That's okay though, because I had fun watching her and I got my own ladybug. 

 Some static electricity!  I went down the big tunnel slide quite a few times, because as the morning went on the other slides got to warm to go down! 

 I had fun swing back and forth on this toy!  

 My friend Shane came after awhile and we had fun playing together.  Here we are swinging around on the tire swing together!

 Of course, I wanted to go on the bumble bee with Shane.  It sure was a fun morning at the park!

Our new screened in porch!

 We just got a new screened in porch, so mom made us a picnic dinner that we could eat outside in the porch.  Last time we went camping the bees were horrible, so mom thought it would be really nice to have a screened in porch that we could use for eating.  The other reason was she wanted one for a butterfly garden where all the kids can eat during my birthday party!  This face says real mom stop taking pictures and give me that food!

 I see it down there, but how can I get it on my tray. 

 I have been making this face a lot lately and it just cracks everybody up!  I think mom got the face because she was interrupting my eating and I don't like anything interrupting my eating.

Scout wanted to come inside and eat with us.  He didn't understand why we shut the screen on him and he couldn't be inside, so we let him in for a little bit.  Here he is being a good boy and laying down!

Today, I got into my box to play and I really wanted my sister to join me in the box, so Daddy put her in my lap! 

 She snuggled right into my lap!  We sure do love each other!

 We had a fun tall skinny box, so Daddy cut out some eye holes and shoulder holes, so that, I could wear the box around on my head.  This is pretty silly, but really fun!

I wanted to see if I could fit in the tall and skinny box.  Yep!  I fit, but it was hard to get around.  I had to stay in one spot.  

 I found a train that I wanted to play with and I am headed to get it!

 It makes me so happy that I can get to whatever toy that I want to!

 I am 10 months today and boy am I mobile!  I like to get into everything and eat everything I can get into my mouth.  Today, I wanted do some of McKenzie's puzzles.  I did a great job of taking them off of the puzzle stand and getting them out of the puzzle board.  

 I am so proud of myself for the mess I made!.  Now how do I put these puzzles back together.  I guess that is what I have a mommy for!

 Makayla came to sit on my princess pillow and of course I wanted to join her on the pillow, so I sat down and had mom put her in my lap!

 We are sure happy to be sitting on the princess pillow together!

 Makayla has been trying some plain greek yogurt this week, which she likes.  I wanted to help feed her the yogurt!

 I tried to be very careful to get it into her mouth.  It took a lot of concentration because her mouth kept moving!

I had a lot of fun feeding Makayla today.  The verdict is still out on how well Makayla did with the yogurt.  She ended up getting fussy with it, but she also got a cold at the same time.  Mommy thought she would wait and let her get better before we tried it again.  

A wonderful morning at the Lake!

Today, we headed out to Whiskeytown lake to meet up with some friends.  It ended up being a perfect morning out at the lake.  We weren't too sure because as we drove out there it started to rain.  Our mom's decided to keep going and give it a try.  It was overcast which it made not to hot (in the upper 70's), but we didn't let it stop us.   

 I didn't get to go and play in the sand and water, probably because I would have eaten the sand.  I had fun hanging out with mommy and watching the big kids play.  

 You give me a bucket, some sand, and a lake and I am one happy camper.  We had a blast filling up bucket after bucket.  

 Sienna and I made chocolate pies to eat.  We spent a couple of hours making pies. 

 We headed up to the towels to have a little lunch!

 After lunch, we headed back down to the lake to play!

 I was happy to be able to get down and hang out on the towels for a little bit!

 We are such sweet friends.  Holding hands as we run up to get some sand!

 Sienna, Collin, and I would search and search for the perfect sand for our chocolate pies.  Yes!  This is the spot.  We would get handfuls of sand and try to get it back down to the water's edge before it all left our hands.   

 Sienna is quite a little swimmer and she was encouraging us to come on out with her in the water.  I got brave enough to go this far then headed back in.   

 I am getting braver about getting my face in the water.  I call this going all the way under!  Well, at least I am getting my face in.

We had to head out to go and get a nap.  We all pitched in to get all the toys back to the car.  It really was the perfect morning at the lake.  Lots of fun was had with perfect weather!

 I have been working at getting myself up from a seated position to a standing position and today I finally made it all the way up.  McKenzie was playing with her car ramp and I wanted to join in on the fun, so I got myself all the way up so I could play.  Lucky thing that McKenzie was holding on to the other end or I would have taken it over backwards!

I was quite proud of myself for making it up.  Mommy almost missed it.  She was in the kitchen getting us breakfast, when, she walked out and there I was almost all the way up.  She got to witness it, but wasn't able to catch it on camera.  She got the camera out to catch me the next time, but I wouldn't do it again. 

 

I love to read books right now.  I look at the pictures and remember the story from when mommy and daddy read them to me and then read them to myself or one of my animals.  Today, I am going to read you a story.  It is about a monkey who wants to fly, but can't and so he has some friends help him.  

I love to stand at my music table and play at it.  Today, McKenzie put on her hat to see what I would look like with it on.  I get excited about hats, try to say the word hat, and then take them off.

I finally figured out this crawling thing.  I am able to get around now.  Today, mom wanted to get it on video, so I was given an incentive to crawl toward her.

 This morning, I decided to sit myself up in bed while I waited for mommy to come and get me.  When she walked into the room she saw me sitting there with this very proud smile on my face.  This age is so fun because it seems like the do something new everyday. 

 I was very excited today because I got a bunch of new clothes, well, new to me clothes.  Sienna out grew a bunch of clothes and her mom gave us a couple big bags of clothes and shoes for me to grow into.  I was supper excited about all the shoes and had to try on every pair even though they were quite a few sizes too big.  These Hello Kitty rain boots were some of my favorites.  

Three hats is definitely the right number to wear.  I had a blast trying on some of the clothes.  I put the sweat shirt on backwards and then put on a vest.  I must have been really cold it was only 100 degrees outside!

I get more and more steady on my feet everyday.  I am now able to stand by holding on with one hand!

McKenzie found a hat for me to try on.  I have a long way off before this hat will fit me.  It sure is cute for a big hat!

Dress up is sure fun when you have lot of fun hats to try on.  

I love to clap and dance a little when my dog plays music.  Here I am having a great time to the music.
