Adapting to a broken arm

February 9, 2014
Yesterday, I fell off of the couch and broke my left arm.  I am one tough girl and am not going to let a broken arm slow me down.  I woke up today and was as happy as ever.  That might be because I have peanut butter toast and Granpy to help me eat it.
I do love to eat peanut butter toast.  It was a little more challenging to eat with only one hand.
Grammy and I had some quiet time reading books together!
I still want to climb up onto everything.  Here I am riding an elephant one handed!  I hope he doesn't buck me off!
Granpy and I read some books before bed.  We weren't too sure about mommy taking pictures and disturbing our reading time.
McKenzie wanted to get in on the reading with Granpy and I.

February 10, 2014
Today, we got into see an orthopedist to look at my arm and see if I would get a new cast for it.  Here I am waiting for them to call my name.
I had fun drawing on the Princess Sophia drawing pad.  Lucky thing I favor my right hand, since, I  have only it to use.
A little smile for mom!  They ended up keeping my split on that I got in the ER and will be back in 2 weeks to see what they want to do then.
After my nap, I went right to my old tricks.  I love to take the cups out of the cabinet and play with them.  This cup was from my birthday.
I talked Grammy into taking me outside to play for a little bit.  I love to get outside whenever I can.
Grammy and I had fun doing some crafts together.  I love to do crafts!
Here is the snowman that we made.  We had fun making a bunch of different snowmen together.

A rainy day at Turtle Bay!

February 6, 2014
Today we headed to Turtle Bay, because, it was one of the last days of an exhibit that mommy thought Granpy might enjoy.  Plus it was raining, so it was a good place to play and stay relatively dry.
We headed down to the Mill House for little explores.  It wasn't too long before I decided to be my own little explorer.  Grammy followed me around and took some pictures while McKenzie and mom heard a story!
Hey look!  I am setting next to a bear.  I hope that he is a nice bear!
It is dog month at Turtle Bay, so, we read some stories about dogs and made a fun dog with floppy ears out of paper.  I liked that I got to glue on his eyes and nose!
We had fun looking at the animals in the mill house.  Don't worry this snake isn't poisons.
Makayla wanted to show me the bear that she found early!
We are ready to head outside into the rain and go back to the main building.  I am all ready for the rain.
They had a new exhibit at Turtle Bay which was a perfect place to play on a raining day.  Here I am walking the tight rope high above the city!  The noodle really helps me balance.
I wanted to try to balance too!
I had fun climbing through the tunnels
The goal of the airplane was trying to get it balanced.  It was pretty hard, but fun to try.
I was busy trying to cross the alligator infested water.  It was a challenge since the bridge was broke.
I safely made it across and and ready to head back.  I had to plot my course before I took off.
I had a good time making it across the river too.  I am glad I made it safely and the alligators didn't get me.
Grammy and I had fun going down the carpeted slide.
I wanted to do some rock climbing.  Here I go up to the top.
I made it to the top with a little spotting by mommy!  It was fun to get so high!
Coming back down to the ground.
Granpy helped me go down the slide.  I really do love to slide!  Thanks Granpy for the help.
I had to take my boots off other wise I would get stuck.  It was worth it to be able to slide.
They had a scooter and and tricycle that you could ride over the obstacle course.  The scooter was a little big for me, but with mommy's help I was able to make it from the beginning to the end.
I wanted a turn on the scooter after McKenzie made it to the end.  Alright mommy lets go for a ride.
Granpy helped me to navigate the obstacle course on the tricycle. It was kind of hard to steer, so I was glad for Granpy's help.
Of course I wanted a turn on the tricycle.  With Granpy's help, well with Granpy doing all the work, I made it from start to finish.  It was fun playing in the new exhibit.
We had to end our time at Turtle Bay with a trip to the truck.  It was a fun way to spend a rainy day with Grammy and Granpy.

1st a waterfall and then opening presents with Grammy and Granpy!

February 5, 2014
This morning, we headed out to see a waterfall we hadn't seen before here in the Redding area.  I was excited to get to ride in the backpack!
Grammy and Granpy came into town the day before to visit us.  We thought we would head out on an adventure.  It ended up being fairly cold at the waterfall.  The ground was even frozen on different parts of the trail.  Mom was glad she put in our winter jackets.
A picture of us girls with Granpy before we quickly head back to the car.
It was a very nice waterfall.  Since, it was pretty cold there we decided to have lunch in the car on the way home.  Maybe next time, we will be able to have a picnic.  It was still fun to get out and have an adventure.
That evening, we exchanged Christmas gifts with Grammy and Granpy, since, we had not done that yet.  We were excited to get to open presents.
Uncle Jeff, Aunt Susan and my cousins sent me some really fun car keys.  There are lots of buttons you can push and they make noise, what is better than that!  Grammy and I had fun figuring them out!
They sent me some pets for a doll house, which, I am going to open shortly.  I loved playing with the cats and dogs!  They were a big hit.
I got a fun sesame street cookbook.  I can't wait to create something out of it!
I was really excited to get some people to play with.  I had fun playing with them while Granpy went and got me what they went with!
I got my own little people doll house that I could play with that doesn't have a bunch of little parts.  Granpy thought it would be good for me to have one of mine own to distract me from McKenzie's.  I was excited to get it out of the box.
This is my new doll house.  Well it is new to me.  Mommy asked Grammy and Granpy if they would fix up her old doll house and give it to me.  I was pretty excited about it.  Makayla was excited about it too! Probably because hers was not set up yet!
We had of lot of fun getting the furniture set up and playing with the people!
I had to go get my pj's on, but I came right back to play with my new toys.  My doll house is just the way I like it.  I can climb on the box and sit on it!  Thanks Grammy and Granpy for the wonderful Christmas gifts!
