Celebrating Tyler's birthday!

August 11, 2016
It was one fun water day here in Spokane.  In the morning we spent it at the spray park in Coeur d'alene, then in the afternoon our cousins came for a day or so on their way to Glacier National Park.
We sure had fun playing in the sprinkler out in Aunt Helen's backyard.  It was the perfect place since there is lots of room to run around.
Here are some pictures of the fun we had with the sprinkler and our cousins.

Sydney was done with the sprinkler and decided to cuddle up in a towel and watch us on the back porch.
The rest of us kept going and having a great time.

After we went in the sprinkler we thought we would put our pajamas on for the night instead of getting dressed again.  Here are Sydney and my scary faces.
Oh those sweet smiles are so much better!
Tomorrow is Tyler's 7th birthday!  We celebrated it with ice cream pie tonight, since, tomorrow is going to be a busy day at Silverwood Amusement park.  Happy 7th birthday Tyler!  We are so excited that we got to help you celebrate your birthday.
Every birthday needs candles to blow out.
I wonder if he will get them all.
Eventually he got all of them
A sweet sibling picture.
McKenzie got in the birthday photo.
There is one of us with all of the cousins.
We even got baby Amelia to join us for the kids picture.  Baby Amelia is Mom's cousin Nick's baby girl.  We were sure excited to get to meet her!
Tyler sure enjoy his ice cream pie.  Ice cream pie is the dessert of choice this year.  So far we have had it for Mom's birthday, McKenzie's birthday, Dad's birthday last year, and I bet you will never guess what Makayla's request for her birthday this year is?
Baby Amelia got to lay on the floor and stretch out and we sure had fun entertaining her!
Amelia is five months old and as sweet as can be.
Uncle Scott and I had the greatest time together.  I just thought he was the coolest person alive.
We all gathered around Aunt Sarah while she had Amelia.
We all took turns holding Amelia.  She was quite a good sport about all of us loving on her.  Here she is with Sydney.
We hung out with Great Uncle Dan and Nick.  This was my first time meeting either of them.
Tyler took his turn with Amelia.
Wyatt and I had a great time with Great Uncle Dan!
There is Great Uncle Dan!  He was hiding behind us!
I was excited to get to hold baby Amelia!
I got to hold Uncle Scott.  He is so silly and I would just giggle and giggle with him around.
Aunt Helen helped me hold Amelia.  Of course I wanted a turn too, but mom thought maybe it would be best if I had some help.
I had fun finding stuffed animals at Aunt Helen's house for Amelia to enjoy.
Even Uncle Scott got a chance to hold Amelia.  It was sure a fun day with family!

Makayla's 1st trip to Idaho!

August 11, 2016
Before we got to Spokane we heard that they had some fun spray parks around the area.  One of the best ones is in Coeur d'alene, Idaho.  Lucky for us Coeur d'alene is only about thirty minutes away from Spokane.  I (Makayla) was pretty excited to get to go to Idaho, because, I have never been there before!
Our first stop was to get the Mudge and Millie book.  It is about a Moose and a Mouse who are friends and play hide-n-seek.  The mouse (Millie) hides in the moose's (Mudge) antler.  Well Mudge can't find Millie even though he looks all over town.  There are five different Mudge and Millie statues at places that Mudge stopped to look for Millie.  Just like Mudge and Millie, we played hide-n-seek to find them.  Here we are by the first one we found by a hiking trail.
We got our scooter and bike to help us find Mudge and Millie.
The next one we found was in the park by a playground where Mudge laid down and took a nap.  We really liked this one, because, we were able to climb on it!
It was fun to sit in Mudge's antlers just like Millie.
Do you think if I hid here he would notice me, like he didn't notice Millie?
While we were playing on Mudge we found a ladybug!
Can you spot the ladybug on me?
His antler is the perfect seat.
Hey look we both fit in the antler seat.
We got Aunt Helen to join in our Mudge and Millie pictures.
The third Mudge and Millie we found was down by lake Coeur d'alene.  This is the place in the book that Mudge finally found Millie after looking for her all day long.  We didn't find them in the order of the stops in the book.
If I hide down here do you think that Mudge would find me?
How about me?
We had to climb down the steps and feel the water.
Do you think the water is warm enough to swim in?
We didn't swim in lake Coeur d'alene, but it was fun to get some pictures with us in front of it!
A nice ta-da before we kept looking for the last two Mudge and Millies.
Shhhhhhh!  Millie had to tell the people in town to be quiet and not give up her hiding place.
We were quiet and didn't tell Mudge that Mille was in his antler.
The last one we found was by the library which isn't too far from the spray park.  We sure had fun looking for Mudge and Millie today.
We got our swim suits on and got all sun screened for a fun adventure at the spray park.  We weren't so sure at first.  Lucky thing we had each other to help us be brave.
Once we got in and got wet we had a great time.
The bear that spit out water was our favorite thing at the spray park.
After we played at the spray park for a little bit we wanted to warm up while playing on the playground.  We threw on our handy robes and had a great time playing.
We warmed up fast and headed back to the spray park to cool down.
The water was sure refreshing.
I was just tickled by all the fun that was to be had at the spray park.
I climbed on top of the bear to sit and watch the happenings at the park.
Oh to be a silly three year old!
The faces we make.
The joy and laughter we bring.
Check out that air I caught while celebrating going through the natural arch.
I was quite proud of myself.
Here I am in action going through the arch over and over again.

It was just fantastic!
While Makayla played in the water I got cold and headed back over to play on the playground.  I found a hollow log to climb through.
I loved spinning on this.
It was sure fun to spin and get dizzy.
One more time in the spray park before we headed back to Aunt Helen's house.  I wanted to sit on the bear like my sister did.
I ran through the big arch.
Then I had to take my turn at the natural arch, because I heard it was really fun.
Here I go.
This is cold.
I made it.  We sure had a great time on our visit to Coeur d'alene.  What a fun place to visit.
