No more cast!

March 10, 2014
Today is the day I am supposed to get my cast off!  I am excited to get my arm back again.  We all headed to the doctor's office to the exciting visit.
I had fun playing with my bubble pop book, but McKenzie is pretty fascinating too.

I am all done with that and ready to get down and run around for a little bit.
They had a fun circle table that was fun to march around.  McKenzie and I marched around and around and around.
I got tired went back to my book with Daddy.  Any minute we should go in to get my cast off!  We didn't get any pictures of the taking off my cast because we didn't think about it until after it was off.  It would have been a sad picture with my lower lip out pretty far.  I wasn't too sure about the vibrations that the drill made as they cut the cast.  I was one brave little girl though and held my arm still.  The doctor said that my arm had healed up well and I was good to go.
That afternoon, mom wanted to get some pictures of my arm without my cast.  She asked me to hold my arm up, so that is just what I did for her.  Look doesn't it look great.  Oh wait that isn't the arm I broke.
It is so nice to be able to use both hands to drink my milk!
I was pretty excited to get my other hand back.  I was able to shovel the food in twice as quickly!
I was pretty excited too.  I don't think you can get much more excited than this face.
I was happy and silly at dinner.
I was excited to get to take a bath tonight and get to splash around and get my arm all clean.  Mom went to run the bath and I came running.  I got all ready and held my arm up for the plastic bag and didn't understand why mom wouldn't put it on me.  She convinced me that it was okay and I had a blast splashing with my sister.
The next day I was excited to go out and explore.
It is now a lot easier to climb again which sure makes me happy.

Picking Grandma up from the airport

March 4, 2014
Today, we headed down to Sacramento to pick up Grandma from the airport.  She was coming into town to help watch us girls while mommy went to New Orleans for a hearing aid training.  We headed down to old sacrament to check it out before dinner and dropping mommy off at the hotel.  Look I am Thomas the Train's conductor.
Daddy is Thomas the Train's engineer!  He was showing McKenzie how much fun it was to have your picture taken, but for some reason she didn't go for it.
We had fun holding Grandma's hand and walking along the board walk!
For dinner we went to the Spaghetti Factory.  I have to say that I am quite a fan of the Spaghetti Factory.  I ate up my spaghetti with joy!
I also like the Spaghetti factory.  Right now I am busy trying to cut my bread with my knife.  It is a special treat because usually I don't get a knife.  I am proud to say I successfully cut the bread.
Daddy did a great job of helping me eat the rest of my spaghetti.  He would put it on the fork and I would get it the rest of the way to my mouth.
My favorite part was at the end when you get ice cream with your meal.  Now this is really a special treat.  Do you think this bite is big enough?
Here is a video of me eating the ice cream.  I made it quite entertaining!
I was also very very excited about the ice cream.  This is my so yummy, but cold face!  We had a great time with Grandma while she was here.  Thanks Grandma for coming out and helping watch us.

Cleaning groupies

March 3, 2014
Usually mom does the cleaning while we are napping, but today, she did it while we were awake.  She moved the stool outside the bathroom and we went right to playing on it.
I was a helpful big sister.  I made room for Makayla on the stool and helped her put her blanket on.
I laid out my princess blanket and Makayla sat down on it.
Now what do we do?
Makayla headed out to find something that would entertain us.
And she brought back herself, who wouldn't be entertained by that face!
Well the bathroom is all clean, what can we help clean now.
We headed out to dust the living room.  We each got a dust rag and went to work.
I thought I would help mom dust the picture frames.  I think she missed some areas and I got them for her.
I went to town dusting everything.  I was quite the little duster and was very excited to get to help.  After I ran out of things to dust, I decided to dust the window.  Mom says she should clean with us awake more often, since, we are such good helpers.
That night Daddy got the guitar out and we came right over and listened to him practice.  The guitar is something new that Daddy is learning.  The associate pastor at our church is doing beginner guitar lessons for those who want to learn.  Daddy went to his first one last Saturday and is now practicing what he learned.
We  loved hearing him practice so much that we brought our chairs and elephant over and sat down in the front row.
Mom thinks that we are the two cutest groupies out there!  We love our dad so much!
There is nothing like sitting bar back on an elephant listening to some guitar!

Going on an adventure and a tea party with friends

February 26, 2014
Today, I packed up my things and am ready to head out on an adventure.  We had a quiet day at home today, which means, coming up with fun thing to do to entertain us.
Sister had to put a few more things in her suitcase and then she was ready to go with me.  Mom loved the backpack that I insisted on wearing even though it was half of my size. She thought I was going to fall over backwards, but I made it work and wore it all around.
This little purple suitcase I love to carry around.  I think that way I always have a seat.  I like to put it down and sit on it or stand on it.
McKenzie had the adventure all figured out and I would go where she wanted or at least if I wanted to go.  We had a lot of fun playing together.

February 27, 2014
Mom was trying to get a picture of us together.  We sat down and then I tried to hug my sister for the picture.  I got a little into my hug.  It made Makayla laugh.
I kept on hugging her as we fell over .  Such silly girls we are.
Today, we were going to have princess tea party to welcome Allison back to town, but unfortunately she came down with croup the night before and couldn't make it.  We still had a tea party, but Shiloh and I invited some princes to join us.  Next time hopefully Allison will feel better and be able to join us.
We had fun eating our grilled cheese castle sandwiches, tomato bracelets, and jewel fruit salad.  Plus the tea is always a big hit.
Makayla wanted in on the tea party fun, so, we pulled over the rocking chair and she joined us big kids for lunch and pretend tea.  She loved hanging out with us big kids.
Shiloh eating her grilled cheese sandwich.
Collin eating his grilled cheese sandwich.
David having fun.
And me making a silly face.  I love to have my friends over for tea parties.  I am glad they were able to join us!

Getting my cast

February 24, 2014
Today, we headed back the orthopedic to have my arm looked at and get a cast put on it.  Here I am waiting to be called.  It was a early morning appointment, so I am still a little sleepy.

Mommy tried to take "doggie"  away from me to get a picture of me without him, but I wanted him back.
I thought it was a silly game that we were playing.
We all got to go to the appointment this time.  I had fun playing with my tablet while we waited for Makayla's appointment.

One last photo of me in my hard splint before I go and get my cast on.  I am all ready!
They took off my old split and I had to go and get my arm x-rayed.  I am such a trooper.  They put the x-ray film down on the table and I put my arm right on it.  I did a great job of making the x-ray techs job easy.  After we saw the doctor, he took us down to the person who put casts on.  First thing he did was put a pad down.  I did a great job of holding my arm out.  I was very curious on what was going on.
See Daddy, I am been such a brave and good girl holding my arm so still.
Since, I wasn't old enough to pick out the color of my cast, McKenzie got to choose for me.  She chose Husky purple.  Well she chose purple, but the color of the purple is the same as the University of Washington's school color.  I thought she did a good job of choosing.  They got the cast material wet and then he started to apply it to my arm.  It took a little bit to dry and then we were all done.
I love the way that my cast feels and sounds when I tap it on things.  Hopefully I don't use it as a weapon!  This thing could really hurt somebody.
I love to wear everybody else shoes and walk around in them.  Tonight I found daddy's shoes and had a great time walking around in some one else's shoes!
