Christmas tree hunting!

December 6, 2014
Today, we headed up to the forest to go hunting for our Christmas tree!  Allison and her family joined us for this fun adventure.
We were excited to being twins with our matching jackets!  Don't you think we could pass for twins!?!
After scouting around and searching for a tree, Mom and Dad headed down the hill to check out a couple of trees.  Here we are on the hill waving at them as they chop down our tree!
After some work to get it up the tree up the hill and through all the brush and thorns, they made it to the top!  Here we are with our tree!
Here is our 2014 Christmas tree!
Allie and I had fun checking out the Christmas tree!
Justin with his trophy!
Isaac had fun with the saw!
We brought our trees back to the trucks and then sat down on the tail gate to have a little lunch!
A picture with all of us kids before we got our lunch!
As a special treat, we got a little hot chocolate to enjoy!
You can't go cut down a tree without yummy hot chocolate to warm you up afterwards!
Yep!  That is sure some good cocoa!
I drank every drop of it!
Allie and I sure enjoyed ours!
Cheers!
I enjoyed my cheese, crackers, carrots, and apples for lunch!  The fresh air sure makes me hungry!
Some good bye hugs!
It was sure fun getting a Christmas tree.  The weather was fairly warm, it didn't rain, we found a nice tree, and we spent time with some good friends.  What a fun adventure!
That night, we headed to the Redding Christmas parade.  It was the perfect evening for a parade, no rain and it wasn't freezing!
I was a little tired, but sure enjoyed watching all the lights.  I would wave at all the people as they went by!
We got to watch the parade in the comfort of our stroller!
And on Dad and Mom's laps!  It was sure fun to watch the parade!
We didn't stay for the whole thing, because it was getting late and we were tired, but we sure enjoyed what we saw.  It was a fun day as a family!

A trip to Turtle Bay with the whole family!

November 29, 2014
Today, we needed to get out of the house.  It has been raining here for the last week and we had cabin fever and our behavior was sure an indicator of that!  We decided to head to Turtle Bay to show Dad around and play in the toytopia exhibit that is there!
The first thing that we went for was the giant piano that you can play by walking on it!  It was fun to watch it light up and make a sound when you stepped on it!
When you laid down on it, it would light up a bunch of a keys at one time!
If my sister does something, I want to do the same thing!  I love to copy her right now!
We had to put our boots on before we headed off to play with the next fun toy!
They had a huge Lego wall that you could stick the Legos to and build on it!
I found a Lego car to run up and down the wall!  Vroom, Vroom!
We had fun making designs on the Lego wall together!
Next, we checked out the big Candyland game!  The gingerbread men were sure fun to move around!
Dad and I had fun playing the life size game!
How exciting to get to ride in the Monopoly car!
It was sure fun to pretend to drive the Monopoly car!
They had some old arcade games to play.  Daddy lifted me up, so, I could check it out and try to play it!
A little art work with the Etch-a-Sketch!
Look at the lines and squiggles I made!
They had some pictures of some very impressive Etch-a-Sketches that people had done.  I thought that if I put my Etch-a-Sketch up to the picture I would be able to make an amazing picture too!
When we were done playing with all the toys, McKenzie wanted to pack some saddle bags for our journey.  I was up for packing my side!
We had to check out what we still needed for our journey!
I found a heavy bag of flour to put in my saddle bag.  Lucky thing I am so strong to carry this sack of flour!
I had a great time packing and unpacking my saddle bag!
We headed outside to get some fresh air and take a little walk down to see the animals!
I had fun stomping in the puddles.  When I found one, I would want to stay there, so, mom would have to encourage me on with finding another puddle to stomp in!
Whoa!  Did you see that splash I made!
I had a blast out puddle stomping!
Turtle Bay got a new bobcat named Whisper, so, we thought we would go see her.  Since it was a rainy and cold day, she was cuddled in her den to stay dry and warm.
On the way back, I wanted a piggy back ride!
Look at this big puddle!
We stopped at the pond that sometime has turtles in it to see if we could see any.  There weren't any turtles today, maybe next time.  I was pretty excited about climbing on the railing like a big girl!
On our way back, I wanted to climb on the stairs to look out the binoculars!
I made it up to the second step!
Oh a fun little candid look caught on camera!
We had a fun day showing Daddy around Turtle Bay and getting out of the house!
A little sister love back at the house!
I got the rocking chair to myself and I am very excited about it!

It is getting a little colder out around here and I wanted another blanket on my bed to keep me warm.  Mom went into my closet and found this Bambi blanket.  It was her blanket that Aunt Helen made her when she was a little girl and just happens to go perfectly in my room.  When she put it on me, I wouldn't lay back down or stop talking about Bambi!  I was very excited about the Bambi blanket!
This morning when I got up, I wanted my Bambi blanket to take out to the living room with me!  McKenzie and I had a great time reading together!
It was a blast to eat toast and drink milk with my blanket!
I had a fun morning hanging out with my sister and eating breakfast.
