I like to play a lot when at the ocean!

July 27, 2014
Today, we headed out to the coast to camp for the night and for Daddy to go ocean fishing.  Daddy had been wanted to go fishing out at the ocean for a while now and crab season ends in a couple of days.  We packed up the car and headed out, so we didn't miss out on the crab.
Mom got a new tent for her birthday day and we are finally getting a chance to try it out!  We sure had fun running around and playing in the tent once we got it set up!
It is big enough for us to have a great time playing in it.  It was a great way to get some energy out after the car ride here.
We got a little milk to drink while we waited for dinner to be ready.
The fun faces that I make!
I had fun collecting rocks, while, dad made a fire and mom got dinner ready!
A pre-dinner snack of cooked carrot and cherry tomatoes grown from our garden!  We had fun sitting in our camping chairs.
We had pie iron pizza for dinner!  Daddy helped me cook mine!
I love pie iron pizza!  It is my favorite camping meal!
After dinner, my mom made me my first s'more!  I was sure excited about it!  It was yummy and I ate the whole thing!
Look at the messy dirty face!  That is a camping face!  I sure enjoyed my s'more!
We got my face and hands all cleaned up and are going to head down to see if  we can see the sunset!
They had some catamarans up on the shore, so, Dad and Scout headed over to check them out!
We were a little late for the sunset and the sun had already gone down.  This is Big Lagoon that we are looking at and just over the land is the pacific ocean!
A sweet picture of me at sunset!

We got up this morning and had a little breakfast!  We had some maple antelope sausage that Grandpa had given us!
What, this is antelope!  It tastes so good!  Mom says that she doesn't think that she has ever seem me eat that much meat in one sitting!
I also really liked the antelope sausage and had my fair share!
A piece of sausage fell on the ground, so, Scout got to try a little!  He also got some pancake.  He was excited to be able to get to come on the trip with us!
We packed up all our stuff before we took Dad to the docks to catch the boat.  I am very possessive of my stuff and worry about it being out of my sight.  Dad wanted to put my deer chair on top of the car in the roof rack, but I wasn't too sure about that idea.  I thought it would be better if I held onto it!
While we packed up, I had fun doing all sorts tricks!  Here is one of my tricks!
I had fun "climbing the tree"!  Look at how high I am!
Dad needed some help getting the air out of the tent.  I was more than happy to help!
I laid on the tent to really get the air out!
I love to be a super duper helper!  This pole bag is heavy, but I am strong enough carry it, since, I am a big 4 year old now!
I am quite proud of myself for being such a great helper!
We dropped daddy off at the dock to get on the boat to go out fishing and then we headed to the beach to play.  All morning, I asked, "when we were going to play at the ocean?"  Then on the way I asked, "if we had a lot of time at the beach because I like to play a lot"!
I wasn't so sure about the sand on my feet.  I have a silly thing about keeping a foot up when I am not sure about what is beneath me.
I got over it and found some buckets to play with!  I was excited about filling my bucket up with sand.
I had a great time building sand castles.
A smile from a happy little one having a blast at the beach!
We put on some beach hats to keep the sun off our face
I put my hat on for a second, but it didn't last very long before I got it off.
We dug a hole to get to the wet sand to use for our sand castles.  I thought I would try to lay in the hole.  I think we need a bigger hole for me to lay in!
It warmed up enough that we actually took our jackets off for a little bit!  It was a nice day at the beach.  You even know what the weather is going to be like on the coast.
We enjoyed watching the waves crash onto the sand!
We sure did get in a lot of play time at the beach.
We got hungry from all the playing, so, we headed to the car for lunch.  We enjoyed our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the back of the Subaru.
This is my sandwich, not yours.
Okay, I guess I will share with you.
I enjoyed my sandwich.  I was one hungry girl, but than again I am always a hungry girl.
After our sandwiches, we had some cooked carrots.
I am I silly or what?
After lunch, we headed to see the Trinidad lighthouse to check it out!  I was bummed that you couldn't go in it because it was only a replica and not the real one.
This bell used to ring to warn the ships that they were getting close.  Now they have an electronic one and this one is by the lighthouse as a historical landmark.
The view of the ships in the harbor from the lighthouse.
After lunch and visiting the lighthouse, we headed back to Trinidad beach for some more playing.
I had a great time making circles in sand and then smashing them.
A view of the beach from where we were playing.
We built a new hole to get the wet sand, so, we could create with it.  Then Makayla got to stand in the hole.
I wanted to stand in the hole too.  It seems a little smaller when I stand in it compared to Makayla.
I sure had fun playing at the beach with my buckets.
Look at the sand pour out of my hands.  How fun is that!
One tired girl from all that playing in the sand.  I needed to lay down and rest for a minute.
I like to do anything that my sister is doing, so, I laid down in the sand right beside her to rest.  This is my resting position.
Daddy had a great time fishing.  We was really excited about the ling cod that he caught.  He was the only one in the boat that caught a ling cod.  He also got his limit of rock fish and crab, which, made mom really happy!  It was a fun trip to the ocean for all!

Plums!

July 26, 2014
Mommy was in the kitchen making fresh peach scones and I thought that I would keep her company by reading her an Elmo book!
After breakfast, Mom and I headed out to pick the plums off of our tree!  I was big help by holding the bucket for my mom to put the plums in that she handed down to me!
There were a couple that were on some lower branches, so, I got to climb up the ladder and pick them!  I was excited about getting to climb up the ladder and pick a couple!
Here is the plum I picked!  Doesn't it look delicious!  I can't wait to eat it!
We ended up picking two buckets full and that wasn't even all of them!  I hope mom hurries with the picture because this bowl of plums is sure heavy!
This picture makes me laugh, because, if you look in the background there is sweet Makayla waiting for us to bring the plums in for her to try!  She really wanted to pick the plums with us, but mom was too afraid that she would try to climb up the ladder while she was picking the plums.  It is hard to be young!
She was sure happy when Mom gave her a bowl full of plums to eat!
We had fun playing around and eating our yummy plums!
I got to eat the plums whole, but was told to watch out for the pits.  We have had so many plums this week!  We just can not get enough of them.  Every time Mom turns around we ask her for a plum.  Makayla has now even learned to eat them whole.  After she takes a couple of bites, she holds it up and says "out out!"  Sometimes she even says, "out out" before she even takes a bite because she is concerned about not eating that pit in the middle!
I had fun putting the chairs together to make a square!
Makayla wanted to come and sit on the chairs with me, so, I moved over to make room for her!
