Train Tunnel!

 June 2, 2014
This morning, we decided to head out for a hike.  We ended up going to the northern point of the Sacramento river trail to go and check out the train tunnel that the trail goes through.  He had to drive over the Shasta dam to get to the trail head.  I was pretty excited to be driving over the dam!  When we got there is was beautiful up there, so, we decided to take a picture with Grammy and Granpy before we headed out.
The Sacramento River comes out of Shasta Dam and it was a beautiful stretch that we walked along!
The nice thing about "hiking" on the River Trail is that it is paved, so, Makayla gets to ride in the stroller and I get to ride my bike!
I got my helmet on and am ready to head out on my bike ride.
Grammy had fun taking pictures along the way!  It was really nice and peaceful up there.  We pretty much had the trail to ourselves to enjoy!
This portion of the Sacramento Trail used to be a train track that they turned into walking path.  The really cool thing is there is a train tunnel that you get to walk through now!  Mommy told me we were going to go through a train tunnel and it kept me motivated on my bike to make it to the tunnel!
I had a hard time getting the concept that trains used to go through here, but don't now.  I tried to figure it out as I rode through.  I thought that the train was on top of us.  I don't know if I ever really figured it out or not, but it didn't really matter because I was excited to get to ride through.
One last picture with Grammy and Granpy before we head through the tunnel!
Here we are going through the tunnel!  It was nice a cool in the tunnel and super fun to ride in.
We made it through to the other side.  There was no train on the top.  We stopped for a moment and then headed back through the tunnel towards our car.
The view from the other side of the tunnel.
When we got back to the car there were some picnic tables for us to eat lunch at.  Grammy and I had a good lunch together.
I also enjoyed my lunch.  This plum was sure juicy!  What a fun morning outing!
When I woke up from my nap, I had fun snuggling with Grammy while I drank my milk.
We had some good laughs together!
 How sweet is that smile!
Sticking out my tongue at you!
Aren't I the cutest thing you have every seen!
We have been so busy over the last couple of days having fun that I haven't had a chance to open up all my presents.  We made it a three day event of present opening starting with my party on Saturday, I opened present with my Grandma and Grandpa on skype on Sunday, Monday morning on skype with Aunt Helen, and this evening mom made some cupcakes and I finally got to open the rest of my presents!  I wonder what is in here.
Grammy and Granpy got me a new chair for outside.  My old one broke, so, this one will be perfect to replace it!
In the mean time, I think it will be the perfect place to open up my presents.
Grammy and Granpy also got me a new chair for McKenzie's birthday, since, I didn't have one!  I was pretty excited about my new chair!
Makayla gave me the movie Frozen.  I wonder how she knew this is what I really wanted!
Look at this cool dry erase board.  It lights up what you have colored!  I can't wait to try it out!
Now I am all ready to learn how to bike.  I hope I never need these elbow and knee protects, but it is always good to be safe!  I got a lot of wonderful presents for my birthday!  I love them all!  Thanks everybody for your thoughtful gifts!

And now we play!

June 1, 2014
Today, I woke up, got dressed, and then went back to my bed!  Hey, wait a second why am I back in bed?
McKenzie and I put on our cute matching ladybug dresses for church.  Then we played together while we waited for everybody else to get ready!
McKenzie got off the futon, but I stayed on for a cute picture!
We headed to the dinning room to play with McKenzie's new art easel.

After church, we headed over to the trees to take some pictures of us in our matching dresses!
It was hard to get us both looking at the camera and smiling at the same time.
Since Makayla wasn't too into taking pictures today, we took some of just me!
We got some really cute ones of me!
A little giggle while I posed!
Makayla decided to pose by the tree too!
Now can I have my pretzel!
The days before my parties are usually full of getting ready for the party, so, the next day we like to get out and have some fun!  This evening we decided to head to Whiskeytown Lake for dinner and some play time.  While Mom, Dad, and Granpy brought the stuff down we went right to playing with Grammy!
We had some leftovers from my party that were perfect to take for dinner at the lake.  We warmed up the leftover hamburgers before we headed up and had a yummy dinner!
Of course, the fan favorites were the Cheetos!
I even got to have a couple of Cheetos with Grammy!
I got my life jacket on and got to go out in the boat.  I was excited to finally be able to go out in the boat!
We don't want to forget the paddles!
The four of us all fit into the kayak!  Of course Daddy did most of the paddling, since, mommy had Makayla in her lap, but I helped out some.
Mom and I had fun riding along in the kayak!  It was fun to get to go out in the boat!
Daddy headed out to do a little fishing and Granpy took the kayak out, so, us girls headed to a sunny spot to warm up and play in the sand!  I love buckets.  I wanted to carry all the buckets we brought over to our sunny spot!
McKenzie and I sat down on the towel to play in the sand.
I don't think you could find a happier little girl!
Well, this little girl seems pretty happy too!
Mom tried to get a picture of us in our matching ladybug swimsuits!  So cute!  It is sure a ladybug day!
Some sand to play in.  I wonder what I should build?
For some reason I thought I should try the sand.
That was sure silly!
We made sand castles.  I would get the water to mix with the sand one shovel at a time.
When Granpy got back from kayaking, he stood guard over our stuff from the geese!
We had fun watching the people out paddle boarding.
I wanted to go out for another paddle around the lake, so, I asked Granpy to take me out!  Of course he was more than happy too!
We sure had a fun time paddling around.  It was a wonderful evening at the lake.  It was a beautiful day to go out and play!
