Car wash!

July 20, 2017
Mom decided to put us to work today washing the car.
We were really excited to get to help out!
We are really helpful in getting the low places, which makes mom happy that she doesn't have to get down there!
I wanted to wear my sunglasses that I got at the dentist, when I went to check out my tooth that I fell on when we were camping.
I can almost get to the top.  I think that mom is going to have to step in and finish it off.  She can't fully get out of all the work.
All the tires are going to be so clean.
I guess we should divide and conquer!
When we were all done we had a great time stomping and parading around in the car wash puddle.
Best type of summer puddle stomping.

We had a great time helping mom out!

Mini Papa Murphy's

July 18, 2017
As part of the summer reading program, from the library, you got a coupon for a Mini Murphy's pizza.  Today we thought we would use our coupons and make our own pizza for dinner.
We each got our own little pizza that we got to create, bake, and then eat!  This is a fantastic reward for reading.
I am getting right to work on making my pizza!
Step 1:  Unwrap the dough!
Step 2:  Spread the pizza sauce on the dough.
Step 3:  Spread on the cheese!
Step 4: Put on the pepperoni!
  Step 5:  Bake it!
It is time for me to make my pizza now.
Now how is McKenzie spreading her sauce?
I added one of my own steps, try some of the cheese!
I was very precise on where I put my cheese.
I chose not to put all of my pepperoni on my pizza, so I could eat a couple of pieces now.
My pizza is all ready to be baked!
I am quite proud of the pizza I created.
My pizza is all cooked and one last step which is to eat it!
A temporary tattoo comes with the pizza and we wanted to put them on.
Look at my delicious pizza!  Yummmmmmm!
I put on my temporary Papa Murphy's tattoo too!  We enjoyed eating our pizza for dinner!

Saying Good Bye to Gus and Tilly

July 16, 2017
Gus and Tilly have to head out this morning to continue on their vacation through Oregon and Washington.
We headed out front to say good bye, give hugs, and get some good bye pictures.
It was sure fun to get to see Gus and Tilly and get to play with them again.  We miss getting to play and hang out with them so much.
Mom tried to get some photos of the four of us, but we just weren't having it today.  We would rather be playing out front.
I guess there were too many of us to get us to look at the camera at the same time.  At least we had fun posing for the pictures.
On of the trees out front is the perfect climbing/swinging tree.  We love to climb on it and so did Gus.
This branch was the perfect height for him.
I wonder if I can get up on this one on my own?
Such sweet 4 year olds.
Makayla wasn't able to get up on it, but I was tall enough to swing on it.
How is this for our picture together?  We are having a great time together until the very last moment!
Time for some sweet hugs!

I love to pose on this rock.

I think I might be part monkey right now.
Tilly had a fun time watching us big kids play on the tree.
I am going to get this one and be able to swing.  We sure had a wonderful time getting to see Gus and Tilly and Abby and Marty again.  We are so glad that we made the list of people they stopped to see!

Horse Races with Gus and Tilly

July 15, 2017
Yesterday evening Gus and Tilly came to visit us.  They brought their parents with them.  Today we thought we would get some energy out by biking to Quince park with them.
I had fun showing Tilly how to slide down the slide.
Then Tilly went right down after me.
Then McKenzie took a turn.
It wouldn't be a trip to the park with out some swinging.
Mom you know you want to push me!
Tilly looking ever so stylish!
Gus and I had a blast playing at our house.  It was so much fun to get to play with my good buddy again!
That evening we met Dad and Marty at the horse races, since they had been out fly fishing through out the day.
I am excited to see these horse race.
I wonder who is going to win?
There are smiles all around.
I had fun hanging out with Tilly and keeping her entertained.
All the adults got booklets that tell them about all the races, the horses, and the odds.  Tilly is picking who she thinks might win.  We would chose the name of the horse that we thought would win and then root for them.
I wonder if the horse I picked will win this race?
They are off!  It was sure fun to watch the horses race and cheer them on.
There was a lot of free time between the races, probably so that everyone can get their bet in.  It seemed like a lot more time for us, since we didn't bet.
While we waited I got some quality time with Dad.
For the last race that we watched, we decided to headed down to the gate right in front of the race.
How am I going to get myself up there?
Tilly found a good place to watch the race up close.
So did Gus.
And McKenzie!
I figured out away to get up there.  It probably involved talking Dad into helping me.
These will be the best sets in the house.  Well technically they aren't seats, but they sure are going to be good.
The simpleness of childhood.

Dad stood close by to keep me safe.
A fantastic summer evening.

The horses are in their gates.
Look at them go.  It is amazing how fast the horses can run.
We had a great day with Gus and Tilly today!  It is always so fun to see friends.
