Passover Seder

 April 4, 2015
Today, we spent the morning getting ready for our Passover Seder.  Mom has wanted to do a Passover Seder for a couple of years now, but has never gotten it together to do one.  This year with our whole family studying the life of Moses in BSF, it was the perfect year to do a Passover Seder.
In preparation for the Seder plate, we helped make the Charoset.  We had a lot of fun using the apple peeler to cut up the apples.  Everything on the Seder plate helps to symbolize the story of the Israelites exodus from Egypt.  The Charoset represents the mortar that the Israelites used to make bricks for the Egyptians when they were enslaved.
Mom had us each make a bowl, so, that fun could be had by one and all!  It was fun to be able to help prepare some of the food!
We invited some families over from our small group to join us for the Seder dinner.  We had a fun time and sure enjoyed the good company!
During part of the ceremony, some of the Matzah is hidden for the children to find later.  I was the first to find my piece of Matzah, probably because I was out in the living room while dad hid it!  It was sure a neat way to remember all that God did for the Israelite's and what He has done for us through Jesus Christ!
